Last week, we reported that Meghan Markle had sold out of her As Ever products within hours of them going on the market. Now, however, Meghan has been forced to issue an apology, as it’s since been revealed that some customers’ orders went unfilled due to high demand.
That’s the number one thing you can’t do during a product launch!
Meghan Issues Apology
As Ever’s Limited-Edition Wildflower Honey with Honeycomb reportedly sold out so fast that some shoppers who had their orders confirmed later learned that the stock was already gone, meaning that their orders couldn’t be filled. This resulted in Meghan, 43, issuing a public apology on social media.
“My goodness, what a whirlwind this week has been! Thank you so much for the support. It really means so much to me,” Meghan wrote. “I was so sorry to hear about what happened with your order, and that due to overselling we are not able to get you the Limited-Edition Honey. Please know the team worked very hard in every department and felt just as sad when we learned what had happened.”
But, it’s not all bad. Markle promised her customers she would make good.
“I know it’s not the same limited-edition item you had your heart set on (I would feel the same!) so I would also like to promise you something else: When our next limited-edition drop happens, you won’t just be the first to know… you’ll be the first to receive it,” the wife of Prince Harry continued. “No need to order, it will come to you in the mail as a gift from me.”
Meghan concluded by promising that “so much more goodness is coming soon.”

As Ever Apologizes
As Ever also issued a statement about this situation on social media.
“The excitement created a volume of traffic on the site that even we couldn’t have anticipated…the orders were happening so quickly that the backend of the site didn’t have a chance to keep up,” the brand stated. “The Limited-Edition Honey that you purchased was, unfortunately, already sold out.”
“We are working on replenishing inventory and will gladly send you an item of your choosing to thank you for your understanding,” As Ever concluded.

Social Media Users Sound Off
Meghan launched her As Ever brand on April 2. On the launch day, Meghan took to Instagram to write, “Our shelves may be empty, but my heart is full! We sold out in less than one hour and I can’t thank you enough… for celebrating, purchasing, sharing, and believing. It’s just the start [of] @aseverofficial. Here we go!”
Social media users were quick to sound off on Meghan’s high prices. Some even questioned if she should really be boasting about selling out these items, given the fact that she only put “limited qualities” up for sale in the first place.
“She never sold out…she had limited quantity to begin with…a very old marketing strategy,” one social media user commented. “People who are buying these products from her really need a mental check up.”
“Definitely cheaper than I thought but still WAY overpriced-and like I suspected-sold out,” a second user added. “That means nothing, just scarcity marketing. And as I mentioned before it’s easy to sell out when you don’t have that much in stock.”
“You paid $14 for ‘spread’ that costs 3-4 bucks at any local grocery store,” a third user wrote. “So funny watching the squad lose all their money to a narcissist and sociopath. It’s richly deserved!”
Meghan’s many naysayers will undoubtedly be happy to see that she had to back down and apologize in this situation. Only time will tell if her As Ever brand actually ends up being a true success!
