Last week, we reported that the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston had been targeted by an alleged stalker who was arrested at her Los Angeles mansion after crashing his car into her gates. Now, chilling new details have emerged about this stalker.
Aniston’s Stalker’s Wife Speaks Out
Aniston’s alleged stalker has been identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48. According to Carwyle’s wife Julia, he believes that he is Jesus Christ, and that Aniston, 56, is his queen.
Carwyle was arrested last Monday after he crashed his car into the gates of Aniston’s Bel-Air home at around 12:20pm. Prosecutors say that he “repeatedly” harassed Aniston with “unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages” between March of 2023 and May of 2025.
Despite this, Carwyle’s wife Julia told Daily Mail that he is a “great guy.” She went on to say that he’d made three trips from their home in Mississippi to California in the hopes of meeting Aniston.
Julia last saw her husband in September of 2024. At the time, he left on his latest attempt to make contact with Aniston.
“He went to California six months ago,” said Julia, 48. “He left in September and went and I haven’t seen him since he left, he was leaving that day to go.”
Carwyle ‘Thought He Was Going To Meet’ Aniston
Julia then said that her husband “was going there because he was going to meet up with Jennifer. He was going to go see her.”
“He actually thought he was going to meet Jennifer. I guess he was speaking with her. He had the impression that Jennifer Aniston and he were going to talk and meet,” Julia continued. “So naturally he’s doing what anybody would do – he went across the country.”
“He thought ‘Maybe she’s just going to meet a guy… to take a chance,’ she stated. “That’s the way he was thinking.”
When asked why her husband crashed his car into Aniston’s gates, Julia replied, “I think he probably got a little aggravated because he could not (meet her).”
Julia and Carwyle married in 2019, but they have been separated for “a few years.”
“We had been split up for a while and I was thinking, well, if you want to go meet, all power to you, but it’s not going to work,” she said. “I just couldn’t believe any of this. Jimmy’s a great guy. He’s just had some things happen.”
Carwyle ‘Believes He Was Jesus Christ’
Julia believes that her husband must have “flipped” and that something had “manifested that we’re all not aware of.”
“It’s something that’s between him and his maker. Mental illness is real. It does not discriminate. He’s going through a lot right now,” she explained. “He believes he was Jesus Christ and that she was supposed to be his queen.”
“His mentality is nothing like it used to be,” she said. “Something has triggered him. I don’t know if he’s having a midlife crisis or what.”
Police have indeed found social media posts in which Carwyle described Aniston as his “bride.”
Carwyle’s bail has been set at $150,000, and he remains in jail at this time. He’s been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Aniston’s home.
“You are not to have any contact with Jennifer Aniston under any conditions,” Judge Keith L Schwartz told Carwyle.
Carwyle’s next hearing is set to take place at the Mental Health Court in Hollywood on May 22. Aniston has yet to comment publicly on this terrifying ordeal.
