Last weekend, we reported that the Hollywood star Kevin Costner had found love again with Kelly Noonan Gores, 46, the ex-wife of the billionaire Alec Gores, 72. This came one year after he finalized his bitter divorce from Christine Baumgartner. She has since become engaged to Kevin’s former friend Josh Connor.
Now, insiders are claiming that Kevin is determined to keep this new romance “hush hush” after going through a “very dark time in his life.”
Kevin Tries To Keep Romance ‘Hush Hush’
During Labor Day weekend, Kevin, 70, and Kelly, 46, were each spotted separately at the JAS Labor Day Experience festival in Snowmass Village near Aspen, Colorado. This only led to further speculation about their budding romance.
‘Kevin is dating and happy again after a very dark time in his life,” an insider told Daily Mail. “He has been seeing Kelly. They were together in Aspen in late July. He has tried to keep it very hush hush because he doesn’t want this to go off the rails.”
Kelly is reportedly “exactly” the kind of partner that Kevin is looking for right now after years of heartbreak.
“She is exactly his type and they have a lot in common: the outdoors, sports — she likes to surf — long walks with dogs,” the insider explained. “Also she has young kids and he loves kids, so he thinks that’s cute. He says she is just ‘chill,’ which is what he needs right now.”
Kelly Has ‘Fallen’ For Kevin
A second source chimed in to say that Kelly has already “fallen” hard for Kevin.
“With Kelly, she has fallen into his charm 110 per cent,” this insider said. “He thinks she is very nice, super sexy and likes hanging out with her.”
“Kevin can get almost any woman he wants, and Kelly is his target right now and they both are enjoying each other’s company,” the source continued. “It is hot and heavy right now, and the sky is the limit. He’s looking to hang out with her as much as possible and she is all for it as well.”
This comes days after sources confirmed that Kevin is “getting to know Kelly” as he continues his busy Hollywood work schedule.
“Kevin has been filming and working to get a few films off the ground and also dealing with the recent lawsuit against him and his Horizon film,” said another source. “So the times he has had for himself have been few and far between, but he has been getting to know Kelly and it seems like they share an interest in each other and look to hang out even more in the future.”
Kevin ‘Has Been Burned’ By Love
This insider then admitted that Kevin is cautious about diving into a new relationship after being “burned” by his ex. Even so, he’s still open to finding “true love.”
“‘Kevin is using kids gloves upon getting into any new relationship because he has been burned, but he also believes in true love and if Kelly were someone to bring that to him, that would be great,” the insider added.
The source stated that Kevin and Kelly have “mutual friends, so if it doesn’t work out romantically, they will at least make a good new trusted friend.”
“This is currently in the wait and see period of it all, but they both aren’t running away from a potential loving new relationship,” the insider concluded.
Kevin And Kelly’s Marriage Histories
Kevin was married to Christine, 51, from 2004 until February of 2024. They are the parents of three children: Cayden, 18, and Hayes, 16, and daughter Grace, 15. Since their split, Christine has become engaged to Kevin’s former friend and neighbor Josh, 50.
As for Kelly, she married Alec in October of 2016. She later announced in December of 2024 that they were divorcing. They share a 6 year-old daughter named Riley.
