It’s been over a year since the conclusion of Kevin Costner’s bitter divorce from Christine Baumgartner, who he was married to for 20 years. Earlier this year, we reported that Baumgartner had gotten engaged to Costner’s former friend Josh Connor.
Now, things are finally looking up for Costner, who has reportedly found love again!
Kevin Finds Love Again
Kevin, 70, is allegedly dating the director and author Kelly Noonan Gores, 46. She’s the ex-wife of the billionaire Alec Gores, 72.
“They are hanging out casually and were connected by friends,” an insider told US Weekly.
The source went on to say that the relationship is “not serious” yet because of the physical distance between the couple. While Kevin lives in Carpinteria, California, Gores resides nearly 100 miles away in Manhattan Beach. Despite this, they have “spent time” together recently in Colorado.
“They both frequent Aspen often and have mutual friend groups,” the insider said. “They have been getting to know each other and seeing each other casually when they can.”
Another source told Daily Mail that Kevin has been “getting to know Kelly” over the past few months.
“Kevin has been filming and working to get a few films off the ground and also dealing with the recent lawsuit against him and his Horizon film,” the insider alleged. “So the times he has had for himself have been few and far between. But he has been getting to know Kelly and it seems like they share an interest with each other and look to hang out even more in the future.”
Kevin Has Been ‘Burned’ In The Past
This source proceeded to claim that Kevin is cautious about diving into a new relationship after being “burned” by his ex. Even so, he’s still open to finding “true love.”
“‘Kevin is using kids gloves upon getting into any new relationship because he has been burned, but he also believes in true love and if Kelly were someone to bring that to him, that would be great,” the insider continued.
The source stated that Kevin and Kelly have “mutual friends, so if it doesn’t work out romantically, they will at least make a good new trusted friend.”
“This is currently in the wait and see period of it all, but they both aren’t running away from a potential loving new relationship,” the insider concluded.
Kevin was married to Christine, 51, from 2004 until February of 2024. They are the parents of three children: Cayden, 18, and Hayes, 16, and daughter Grace, 15. Since their split, Christine has become engaged to Kevin’s former friend and neighbor Josh, 50.
Kelly’s History
As for Kelly, she married Alec in October of 2016. She later announced in December of 2024 that they were divorcing.
“It was excruciating. Even though I initiated the conversation, neither of us wanted this, and it was extremely heartbreaking,” she said on her “Heal with Kelly” podcast in January of this year. This came as she recounted going through the “hardest year” of her entire life.
“This is not for a lack of love,” she explained. “I love this man deeply and madly and tremendously and have so much respect for him. So grateful for everything I have learned, everything that he has taught me and just the adventures and the growth that we’ve had together. He truly was my best friend.”
Kelley and Alec are parents to a daughter Riley, 6.
Kevin has been open about how difficult and heartbreaking his divorce was for him. We’re so glad that he’s finally moving on and has found love again.
