It’s been five months since we reported that the Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had finalized their divorce. This came after 19 years of marriage and two daughters together.

At the end of April, we reported that Nicole and Keith’s two teenage daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, had “cut off” their father in the wake of this divorce. Now, insiders are claiming that Urban is “in a lot of pain” over this, as he feels “disrespected” by his daughters.

Keith Feels ‘Disrespected’

“They’re icing him out,” a close friend of Keith’s told Daily Mail. “He feels disrespected and cast aside by his own daughters.”

Indeed, Sunday recently unfollowed Keith. Last week, Sunday attended the Met Gala with Nicole, seemingly in a show of solidarity.

“I know that the Met Gala scene was very hurtful,” the insider continued. “It was a public statement for Sunday. She’s definitely on her mom’s side. This public appearance is 100% a message of who she’s chosen.”

The source went on to say that the Met Gala moment was “obvious” to Keith. Even so, he still would have loved to be part of it, admitting he was “feeling FOMO (fear of missing out).”

“He’s a man in a lot of pain,” the insider concluded. “I’ve known him for 20 years. This is awful for him.”

Some have claimed that Keith only has himself to blame for this, however. Just after the split, gossip linked him to various younger female musicians in Nashville. This has reportedly rubbed his teenage daughters the wrong way. Last month, it was reported that both Sunday and Faith were refusing to meet Keith’s rumored new girlfriend Karley Scott Collins, 26.

“[The girls] are completely team Nicole and, right now, Keith is the bad guy,” said another source. “He loves those girls, but they are so angry at him and they’re blaming him.”

Kidman And Urban’s Split

Nicole and Keith secretly separated in June of 2025 after 19 years of marriage. Keith was the one who initiated the split. He then immediately moved out of the family home and into his own residence in Nashville.

Nicole then spent the summer desperately trying to save their marriage. The actress finally gave in and filed for divorce on September 30. It was only then that her fans learned that they had secretly been separated for months.

“She didn’t want this,” a source told People Magazine after Nicole filed. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

Another insider told US Weekly that Nicole “had faith they could work it out.” Indeed, she still had hope despite being “quietly separated for a while.

“This wasn’t Nicole’s decision, and she is devastated,” the source lamented. “Her trust was lost, and it was too far gone. Nicole had been trying to get them to work on their marriage and did not want this to get out to the public. She didn’t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months.”

Yet another insider told Page Six that “sometimes relationships just run their course.” This source added that Nicole “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”

Divorce is never easy, particularly when their are children involved. We can only hope that Urban is able to find a way to mend his relationship with his daughters moving forward. Only time will tell if that will actually happen.
