It’s been three months since we reported that the Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had finalized their divorce. This came after 19 years of marriage and two daughters together.

Now, insiders are claiming that Nicole and Keith’s two daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, have turned on their father. Indeed, it seems that the two girls have taken their mother’s side in this bitter divorce.

The Girls ‘Are Completely Team Nicole’

An insider close to Keith told Daily Mail that the country music star is “distraught” right now.

“[The girls] are completely team Nicole and, right now, Keith is the bad guy,” the source said. “[Keith] is the cause of every problem in their minds, and it’s harrowing for him. He’s really distraught about it. He loves those girls, but they are so angry at him and they’re blaming him.”

“I don’t even think this is Nicole painting a narrative,” the insider continued. “This is the girls coming to this conclusion on their own.”

On Monday, it was reported in the media that Sunday had unfollowed Keith, 58, on Instagram. Though she re-followed him within the next 24 hours, it seems clear that all is not well between the father and daughter.

“He was texting [his daughters] before and getting one or two-word answers, if he got anything at all. Now nothing,” another source alleged of Keith. “For now, he’s just letting it happen and hoping that they can talk it out down the road. It hurts but hopefully at some point they can have the conversations and move forward.”

Nicole And Keith’s Divorce

Nicole and Keith secretly separated in June of 2025 after 19 years of marriage. Keith was the one who initiated the split. He then immediately moved out of the family home and into his own residence in Nashville.

Nicole then spent the summer desperately trying to save their marriage. The actress finally gave in and filed for divorce on September 30. It was only then that her fans learned that they had secretly been separated for months.

“She didn’t want this,” a source told People Magazine after Nicole filed. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

Another insider told US Weekly that Nicole “had faith they could work it out.” Indeed, she still had hope despite being “quietly separated for a while.

“This wasn’t Nicole’s decision, and she is devastated,” the source lamented. “Her trust was lost, and it was too far gone. Nicole had been trying to get them to work on their marriage and did not want this to get out to the public. She didn’t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months.”

Yet another insider told Page Six that “sometimes relationships just run their course.” This source added that Nicole “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”

Keith’s ‘Guilt And Shame’

An insider is now claiming that Keith now feels some “guilt and shame” over how his marriage ended.

“He’s in a lot of pain right now,” this source said. “The worst pain is the type that you inflict on yourself, so he’s got some guilt and shame and hurt. He’s struggling to make sense of it right now.”

Yet another insider has blamed the former couple’s busy schedules for Keith’s “unhappiness.”

“Keith and Nicole always had an interesting marriage,” the source said. “They both worked a ton and were gone a lot, especially Keith, so the girls didn’t spend nearly as much time with him. He was always touring.”

“Nicole always juggled a bunch of projects, but she was around them more,” the insider added. “There wasn’t a ton of family time together, so it makes total sense that they are closer to their mother through all of this. They were never as close with their dad to begin with.”

Moving forward, Keith is just hoping that he can earn his way back in his daughters’ favor.

“Keith has said that Nicole has been great during all of this,” the source alleged. “But the girls are young, they’re hurt, and they have to choose sides in their minds. So, they have chosen mom.”

“Obviously, Keith is not a perfect man – nobody is,” the insider concluded. “But whatever his issues between him and Nicole are, he still loves his daughters very much. For them to cut him out is really hurtful.”

Divorce is never easy, particularly when there is children involved. Here’s hoping that this family can eventually put this behind them and move forward with Sunday and Faith having a connection to both of their parents once again.
