It’s been one month since the pop star Katy Perry went to space. She did so for eleven minutes as part of Jeff Bezos’ all-female Blue Origin crew. Unfortunately for Perry, this has since blown up in her face. Indeed, the mission has been met with tons of backlash.
Now, things have gotten even worse for Perry, as her Lifetimes tour is being widely panned by fans. Indeed, many of them have said that it is “messy” as they trash it in a variety of ways. Perry, however, is trying to move past this. Indeed, sources close to Perry allege that she is determined to let these criticisms roll off her back.
Perry’s Lifetimes Tour Gets Slammed Online
Perry, 40, launched her Lifetimes tour in Mexico City just over a week after she traveled to space. The backlash against her tour was swift, with social media users completely roasting her for her performances.
“Maybe instead of going to space she should have been rehearsing here fight scenes moves a little more,” one social media user commented. Another added, “Every single video I am seeing from this Katy Perry tour is literally so cringe. Lmfao.”
“The more videos I see of Katy Perry’s tour, the more she pisses me off,” a third user wrote. “Like I’m actually offended by how messy it is.”
Ouch, that has got to hurt for Perry!

Perry Has ‘Brushed Off’ The Negative Comments
A source close to Perry told Life & Style that the “Firework” singer is trying to move past these attacks. According to this insider, Perry “has been down this bullying road before, and she refuses to give it life.”
“Constructive criticism is one thing, but she has no time for people just being nasty,” the source continued.
The insider concluded by saying that Perry “has already brushed off the comments and is excited about touring for her true fans.”
This comes after Perry herself took to social media to address the hate that she’s been receiving.
“When the ‘online’ world tries to make me a human Piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed,” she stated. “What’s real is seeing your faces every night, singing in unison, reading your notes, feeling your warmth. I find people to lock eyes and sing with and I know we are healing each other in a small way when I get to do that.”
“I’m not perfect, and I actually have omitted that word from my vocabulary, I’m on a human journey playing the game of life with an audience of many and sometimes I fall but… I get back up and go on and continue to play the game and somehow through my battered and bruised adventure I keep looking to the light and in that light a new level UNLOCKS,” Perry concluded.

Perry’s Blue Origin Flight Has ‘Ruined’ Her Career
Perry travelled to space on the Blue Origin flight on April 14. She was joined by CBS Mornings host Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and Bezos’ fiancée, Lauren Sánchez.
All of the women have been hit with backlash over the flight. However, Perry has taken the most heat by far. According to Daily Mail, Perry’s career has been “ruined” by this controversy.
Perry can try to “brush off” the negativity all that she wants to, but it certainly is not looking very good right now. Only time will tell if Perry is ever able to truly bounce back from this!
