It’s been six months since Jennifer Lopez finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck after just two years of marriage. Now, Lopez is speaking out to reveal that she is “done” with marriage after this split.
Lopez Is ‘Done’ With Marriage
Lopez, 55, was performing in Bilbao, Spain on Tuesday night as part of her “Up All Night” tour. There, in a video that has since gone viral, a fan held up a sign that read “J Lo, marry me?” When Lopez caught sight of this, however, she wasn’t having any of it. Indeed, she confirmed that she has no plans to walk down the aisle ever again.
“I think I’m done with that,” Lopez told the crowd. “I’ve tried that a few times.”

Lopez’s Four Marriages
Lopez was referring to the fact that she has been married and divorced four times. Her first marriage was to the actor Ojani Noa, who she was married to from 1997 until 1998. Lopez then married her backup dancer Cris Judd in 2002, and they divorced the next year.
Lopez went on to marry her fellow singer Marc Anthony in 2004. They welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, in 2008. Lopez and Anthony later amicably divorced in 2014.
After her third divorce, Lopez began dating the former New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez in 2017. They were engaged from 2019 until 2021, with Lopez being the one to end their engagement.
Lopez’s fourth and final husband, of course, was Affleck. They met back in December of 2001 on the set of their movie Gigli. Lopez and Affleck became engaged the next year, only to shock fans by calling off their planned wedding in 2003 just days before it was set to take place.
Lopez went on to marry Anthony, while Affleck married the former Alias star Jennifer Garner in 2005. They had three children together before they divorced in 2018.
Lopez and Affleck reunited in 2021, and they married in July of 2022. Lopez filed for divorce exactly two years later. Their divorce was finalized in January of this year.
Lopez has allegedly struggled with her fourth divorce. Back in March, a source told People Magazine that Lopez “was hurt by their sudden separation and Ben’s unwillingness to not work on their marriage. She really wanted it to work out.”
Affleck Wants To ‘Cut The Final Cord’ With Lopez
Things got even worse for Lopez last month, when we reported that Affleck is willing to pay millions to permanently cut Lopez out of his life.
Though they are officially divorced, Lopez and Affleck still own a mega-mansion that they bought together in Beverly Hills, California. They put the mansion on the market for a whopping $68 million in July of last year. After being unable to sell it, however, they slashed this price by $8 million. Despite this, they have still not been able to find a buyer.
This mansion is the last thing tying Lopez and Affleck together. Because of this, Affleck is willing to slash the price by millions more, just to get Lopez out of his life. Indeed, he seemingly thinks permanently cutting ties with Lopez is worth losing millions of his own money.
“Ben and JLo slashed the price on their Beverly Hills mansion for $8 million less than they paid for it, but this is nothing to Ben,” the source told Daily Mail. “He really just wants this to be sold so that he can cut the final cord that keeps him and Jennifer intertwined.”
Needless to say, it has to be embarrassing for Lopez that Affleck is being so public about wanting to “cut the final cord” with her. This could partly be what led to her declaring that she is “done” with marriage forever.
Some fans may be sad to see that Lopez has no intention of ever getting married again. After four extremely public divorces, however, we can certainly see why Lopez would want to take a step back from marriage in general moving forward.
Only time will tell if Lopez sticks to her guns and never walks down the aisle again!
