The Oscar-winning Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence is speaking out this week to let her fellow celebrities know that it’s time to stop lecturing the public about politics.
Lawrence Sounds Off
Like many Hollywood stars, Lawrence, 35, was incredibly outspoken about her anti-Donald Trump views during his first presidential term. Ever since Trump took office for a second time earlier this year, however, Lawrence has been noticeably quiet about politics.
While appearing on The Interview podcast this week, Lawrence revealed that she’s purposely avoided speaking out about Trump this year.
“I don’t really know if I should,” Lawrence replied when asked if she will be as outspoken as she was during Trump’s first term. “The first Trump administration was so wild, and just how can we let this stand? I felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off.”
“But as we’ve learned election after election, celebrities do not make a difference whatsoever on who people vote for,” she continued. “So then what am I doing? I’m just sharing my opinion on something that’s going to add fuel to a fire that’s ripping the country apart. We are so divided.”
Lawrence Doubles Down
Lawrence went on to say that she doesn’t want her liberal political views to deter people from watching her movies that “change consciousness or change the world.”
“I want to protect my craft so that you can still get lost in what I’m doing, what I’m showing,” she explained. “If I can’t say something that’s going to speak to some kind of peace or lowering the temperature or some sort of solution, I just don’t want to be a part of the problem. I don’t want to make the problem worse.”
Instead of lecturing fans about politics as herself, Lawrence is hoping that her movies will do the talking. Indeed, her production company Excellent Cadaver has various documentaries coming out. These films cover things like the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Texas abortion ban.
“A lot of movies coming out from my production company are expressions of the political landscape. And that’s how I feel like I can be helpful,” she added.
Not stopping there, Lawrence admitted that she “probably” regrets the things that she said during Trump’s first presidency. The Kentucky-native also acknowledged that Trump’s second term “feels different.”
“Because he said what he was going to do,” she concluded. “We knew what he did for four years. He was very clear. And that’s what we chose.”

Celebrities Flee America Over Trump
Lawrence’s comments are nothing short of refreshing, given just how out of hand the liberal elites of Hollywood have gotten when it comes to politics. Indeed, Lawrence is one of the only stars in Hollywood who has accepted that celebrities don’t have the impact on voters that they think they do.
Celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O’Donnell have gone so far as to openly flee the country over Trump. DeGeneres has settled in England, while O’Donnell is living in Ireland.
They seem to think that doing this will inspire Americans to vote their way in the next election. Instead, all they’ve accomplished is making life more difficult for themselves by choosing to live outside of this great country.
The Women Of The View
Then there’s Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and their fellow co-hosts on the ABC talk show The View. They spent years bashing Trump every single day on their talk show. Last year, they heaped praise on Kamala Harris daily. They ignored her many faults as they fought to put her in the White House.
By Election Day, Goldberg and Behar were so deep in their liberal bubble that they were convinced that their efforts would result in a landslide victory for Harris. Instead, she lost handily to Trump, showing just how little of an impact Goldberg and Behar ever had on the election in the first place.
These are just a few of the many Hollywood stars who are so full of themselves that they actually think lecturing the public about their radically liberal views will result in election victory for Democrats.
We applaud Lawrence for finally seeing the light and realizing just how pointless celebrity political lectures really are. While we don’t agree with Lawrence politically, she still seems to have a good head on her shoulders when it comes to this.
If only we had more stars in Hollywood like Jennifer Lawrence!
