Yesterday, we reported that Ellen DeGeneres was speaking out to say that she’s “angry” over what’s happening in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This comes as she’s allegedly preparing to return to America from England. She moved there just over one year after she fled the country over Donald Trump’s second presidential victory.
DeGeneres, 67, received tons of backlash for her Instagram post about being “angry” over the death of Renee Nicole Good. She was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis earlier this month. Indeed, many social media users accused DeGeneres of hypocrisy for this post.
Despite this, DeGeneres is doubling down by sharing a video in which she sent a message of support to Minneapolis.
DeGeneres Doubles Down
“Hey everybody, I just wanted to say, I am so sorry for what is happening in Minneapolis and our country, really,” DeGeneres began in her latest Instagram video. “But specifically Minneapolis right now because that’s where I shot my last stand-up special and everybody there couldn’t have been more lovely.”
This was a reference to DeGeneres’ 2024 Netflix special, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval. Way to make this all about you, Ellen!
“I shot it there because they say it’s the happiest city in America. And I found that to be true,” the comedian continued. “So my thoughts and my prayers are going out to everyone, and I’m proud of everyone who’s protesting peacefully, and I am sorry for anyone who has been hurt just for protesting, for doing what you should be doing.”
“Anyway, I am just sending love,” DeGeneres concluded.

DeGeneres Accused Of ‘Spreading Hatred’
Unfortunately for DeGeneres, however, this video is also not going over well. Indeed, the comments section is full of social media users who have had enough of celebrities like DeGeneres spewing nonsense and division.
“Ellen, please stop spreading hatred,” one social media user commented. “Stop trying to divide and destroy our country. I’m a democrat and I represent the Democrats that don’t want to divide and destroy our country.”
“Are you sorry the officer got injured too?” another social media user wrote. This was a reference to the fact that many feel that video of the shooting shows that Good swerved her car towards the ICE officer before he opened fire.
“If you watch the entire 3-minute video, Nicole purposely blocked and taunted law enforcement several times,” read a comment on DeGeneres’ previous post. “Using her car to block the police, honking, and oddly dancing in her seat. She did everything she could to provoke.”
“Moral of [the] story, don’t hit a federal agent with your car, and you won’t get shot,” another social media user added.
On DeGeneres’ latest video, yet another commenter stated, “I am so sorry too ! Why don’t these people stay home and let ICE do the job we as a country voted for.”
DeGeneres Flees America
DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi, 52, fled America in November of 2024. They did this because of Trump’s second presidential victory.
“We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in,’” DeGeneres said at a July event in England. “And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here.’”
However, all it took was one cold British winter to send DeGeneres and de Rossi crawling back to Southern California.
Last month, an insider claimed that “the day-to-day reality of life in the rainy countryside has gotten increasingly boring and frustrating for both of them.”
“Portia’s restless,” the insider explained. “The weather doesn’t agree with her and she’s got very little to do except take long walks in the freezing cold or sit around the house while Ellen’s locked in Zoom calls or brainstorming strategy for her eventual comeback attempt.”
Making matters even worse, very few of DeGeneres and de Rossi’s famous friends from Hollywood have come across the pond to visit them. This has left them feeling more irrelevant than ever.
“Both of them are in agreement that it’s time to head back,” the source concluded.
DeGeneres Comes Crawling Back
Last week, we reported that DeGeneres and de Rossi purchased a home in Montecito, California for $27.4 million. This indicated to many that their permanent return to America might be in the process of happening at this very moment.
The fact that DeGeneres feels the need to comment on the current happenings in Minneapolis shows that she’s more eager than ever to make herself relevant again in America. Unfortunately for DeGeneres, however, a lot has changed in the past year. These days, Americans are more tired than ever of wealthy liberal elites like DeGeneres trying to lecture the rest of us about what’s going on in our country.
It’s sad that despite the fact she’s coming crawling back to America after just one year, DeGeneres still doesn’t seem to appreciate everything our great country all that she wants to. DeGeneres can keep complaining about America all that she wants to, but it’s clear that nobody takes her seriously anymore here.
Good riddance, Ellen DeGeneres!
