Last week, we reported that A&E is bringing back the hit reality show Duck Dynasty as Duck Dynasty: The Revival. Now, the former Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson – an absolute favorite among Mix readers – is back in the limelight to talk about the show and what to expect!

Duck Dynasty: The Revival

Duck Dynasty: The Revival will focus on Willie and Korie Robertson and a whole new generation of Robertsons; their kids John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca, as well as their grandchildren.

“With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy,” reads the official log-line of the show.

“Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home,” Willie and Korie said in a statement after the reboot was announced. “We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.”

Which sounds awesome. So let’s see what Sadie has to say about her family going back on the silver screen.

Sadie Talks New Duck Dynasty

Sadie, 27, acknowledged Duck Dynasty: The Revival on Instagram.

“Secret’s out! Our family is going back home to A&E with Duck Dynasty: The Revival!” Sadie wrote. “It’s wild to think how much has changed, but also how much has stayed the same. New kids, new spouses, new businesses, new fun…ALL the generations and no end to the adventures (and yes, probably some misadventures too)!”

“Our hope is for you to watch again together as a family and pray our show brings families back around the dinner table giving thanks to God and loving one another,” she continued. “Our prayer as a family is and always has been that we are bright lights for His Glory. We’re SO glad to be back! Stay Tuned!”

A&E Reboots Duck Dynasty

A&E has already ordered two 10-episode seasons of the show. The first season of Duck Dynasty: The Revival will begin airing sometime this summer.

The original Duck Dynasty ran for 11 seasons over the course of five years. During that time, it was the hottest unscripted series on cable TV. Indeed, the season four premiere of Duck Dynasty drew in a whopping 11.8 million viewers in August of 2013. A&E is clearly hoping to replicate that success with Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

“The Robertsons earned a seat in homes across the country with their unique brand of down-home practicality, Southern charm and relatable humor,” Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vp and head of programming for A&E and Lifetime, told The Hollywood Reporter. “Duck Dynasty played a huge part of the success of A&E for many years, and we look forward to reuniting with the Robertsons on the revival.”

Fans Respond

Fans have made it clear that they’re very excited for Duck Dynasty to return.

“This is exactly what America needs, a show promoting pro-God, pro-life, pro-family Pro-America values,” one social media user commented. Another added, “Finally we can watch something fun with some common sense.”

“Whoop! So excited for this! I’ve been praying for good, uplifting, quality entertainment. Thank you, Lord!” a third user wrote. A fourth fan commented, “The only reality show worth watching! Can’t wait!”

Duck Dynasty is one of the few wholesome reality shows that the whole family can enjoy together. We can’t wait to have Sadie and the rest of the Robertson family back on our televisions!
