It’s been nearly two years since the legendary Three’s Company star Suzanne Somers passed away after a very long battle with breast cancer. Now, Somers is communicating with her beloved husband Alan Hamel, who she was married to for 46 years, through an artificial intelligence (AI) replica of herself.

Prepare to see a lot more of this type of thing in the future.

Somers’ AI ‘Twin’

“Meeting you was like a breath of fresh air,” Somers’ AI “twin” could be seen telling Hamel in footage obtained by US Weekly.

Hamel, 88, teamed up with the robotics company Realbotix Corp to create a “digital twin” of Somers, who died one day before her 77th birthday in October of 2023. The company used a platform known as Hollo.AI to give “human-like conversational AI a physical form in a Realbotix robot.”

Using recordings and footage that was taken throughout Somers’ life, it also imitates her voice and speech patterns.

“[Alan] is my partner in everything, from life to love,” the AI Somers said at a public exhibition in Dana Point, California. “We shared so many beautiful memories together.”

Somers’ AI Twin’s Favorite Memory Of Hamel

When asked to share a specific memory of Hamel, Somers AI twin replied, “One of my favorites is when Alan and I were filming a cooking segment together, a long time ago.”

“We had a little mishap with a blender. Let’s just say it didn’t go as planned and we ended up with wearing more of the smoothie than we actually made,” it continued. “We laughed so hard and it became a running joke in our house. It’s those light-hearted moments that really bring us closer together.”

Somers died in October of 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She had been battling breast cancer off and on since 2000.

“Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years,” her publicist said at the time. “Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.”

Somers’ Communicates With Hamel After Her Death

In August of last year, Hamel told Fox News that Somers had been communicating with him from beyond the grave in the wake of her passing. Spiritually, not digitally.

Losing Somers has been particularly difficult for Hamel, as it has left him living alone for the first time since he was 18. There’s one time of day in particular when he often feels her presence, however.

“When I go to bed at night, during that time when you’re not asleep yet, that’s when I really feel Suzanne’s presence to the point where it’s palpable,” he said. “I remember one night I was so positive she was in bed with me. I reached over just to check, and of course, she wasn’t there.”

These unusual experiences have led Hamel to conclude that despite what some may say, “there is an afterlife.”

“We discard the body, but we still have a soul,” he explained. “The soul is energy. And I have to believe that it finds a dimension or a plane that we don’t understand… I absolutely believe there is an afterlife. I do believe that when my time comes to expire, Suzanne will be waiting for me.”
