The Los Angeles area has been left devastated by wildfires that have destroyed over 12,000 homes and businesses. Many of these homes belong to A-list Hollywood stars. Now, the Guardians Of The Galaxy star, Christian actor Chris Pratt has broken his silence to reveal how his family has been impacted by the wildfires.

Pratt Returns To His Home

Pratt, 45, took to Instagram on Thursday to post a video in which he said that he was going to “check out” his home and town for the first time since the wildfires began.

“Miraculously, it’s still standing. By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof,” Pratt said. He went on to say that he’s been leaning on his strong Christian faith during these “tough few weeks.”

“Community’s gone, my son’s school is gone, my son’s mom’s house burned down,” Pratt continued. “It’s just wild and we’re resilient … we trust in God and consider it all a blessing.”

Pratt’s ex-wife, fellow actress Anna Faris, has yet to comment about losing her home. At the time it burned down, her representative only would tell Fox News that “Anna and her family are safe and very grateful.”

Pratt concluded his video with a message of hope, saying that “It’s been inspiring to see how our community’s come together.”

In the caption of his video, Pratt wrote, “It’s been a tough few weeks, but we’re resilient. Praying for LA and all those impacted, we’ll get through this together. God bless.”

Pratt is married to Katherine Schwarzenegger, the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger. They are parents to two young daughters and an infant son, who was born in November.

Celebrities Who Have Lost Their Homes

Many celebrities have lost their homes to these wildfires. These stars include Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Miles Teller, Ricki Lake, Cary Elwes, Cameron Mathison, Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer Pratt, and Heidi Montag.

Billy Crystal announced last week that the home he and his wife Janice have lived in for 46 years burned to the ground in the wildfires as well.

“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” Crystal, 76, told People Magazine. “We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy.”

“Janice and I lived in our home since 1979,” he continued. “We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”

Crystal ended his statement with a message of hope.

“We pray for the safety of the firefighters and first responders,” Crystal concluded. “The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”
