Casey Anthony, ‘America’s Most Hated Mom,’ Is ‘Cashing In’ With Infuriating New Side Hustle

Last month, we reported that Casey Anthony, who has been dubbed “America’s most hated mom,” had reemerged as an “advocate” for “women’s rights.”

This infuriated many, as Anthony is widely believed to have murdered her 4 year-old daughter Caylee back in 2008. Though a jury found Anthony not guilty of this crime in a 2011 trial, most Americans still believe that she committed the heinous crime.

Now, Anthony is backing in the headlines as she is “cashing in” with a new side hustle. Indeed, this is sure to enrage anyone who believes that Anthony got away with murdering her own child.

Anthony’s New Side Hustle

Anthony, 39, is reportedly raking in money in her latest lucrative venture as a subscription-based blogger. She’s taken to writing on Substack, which is “a platform that allows followers to pay to subscribe to personal writings, videos, and other communications.”

“It has been more than 16 years since my name became a household one,” Anthony wrote in her official Substack bio. “Everyone seems to have an opinion — about me, and about my life. I am an advocate, a researcher. These are my words, this is my REAL life.”

You truly can’t make this stuff up.

Subscription prices for Anthony’s Substack start at $10 a month. They can then climb to as much as $250 a year, giving users the chance to personally interact with Anthony if they agree to pay that amount. At the time of this writing, Anthony has over 5,000 Substack subscribers. This means that she is indeed raking in quite a bit of cash with this venture.

Expert Weighs In

Ari Lightman, a digital media and marketing professor at Carnegie Mellon University, spoke out to give his thoughts on what Anthony is doing here. He explained that platforms like Substack and TikTok have given controversial figures like Anthony the opportunity to reintroduce themselves to a new generation that is unaware of their sordid histories.

“It’s an opportunity for this person and this personality to do a refresh within the U.S. public and reinvent herself,” Lightman told Fox News.

Lightman went on to say that many of Anthony’s subscribers could be “hate-clicking.” This would mean little to Anthony, however, as she is still getting their money regardless.

“People enjoy hate-clicking on things or hate-reading and are fascinated with either the mystery or what they’re up to now,” Lightman explained.

Lightman concluded by expressing his concerns that Anthony profiting from her fame will inspire others to try and become famous.

“The question I would have is: Are we going to see this happen more and more often? This provides an example of people cashing in on their fandom,” he stated. “Does that imply that people will deliberately try to create fame — by any means necessary — whether positive, which is much harder to achieve, or through scandal, which is much easier?”

Anthony Launches TikTok Account

This comes after Anthony launched a TikTok account on March 1. She has since garnered over 85,000 followers.

“This is my first of probably many recordings on a series I am starting,” Anthony said in her first TikTok video. “I am a legal advocate, I am a researcher. I have been in the legal field since 2011, and in this capacity, I feel that it’s necessary if I’m going to continue to operate appropriately as a legal advocate that I start to advocate for myself and also advocate for my daughter.”

“For those of you who don’t know, my name is Casey Anthony,” she continued. “My daughter is Caylee Anthony. My parents are George and Cindy Anthony. This is not about them. This is not in response to anything that they have said or done. . . .The whole point of this is for me to begin to reintroduce myself.”

Anthony has long professed that she is innocent when it comes to the murder of her daughter. However, most people still believe that she committed the despicable crime. In the end, it’s nothing short of nauseating to see Anthony reenter the public eye and profit off of social media when in the eyes of many, she should be in prison.
