Casey Anthony, who has been called “America’s most hated mom,” reemerged on TikTok over the weekend as an “advocate” for “women’s rights.”

Anthony, 38, was accused of killing her 2 year-old daughter Caylee back in 2008. Though she was acquitted of this crime, many believe to this day that the jury made the wrong decision.
“This is my first of probably many recordings on a series I am starting,” Anthony began in a video posted to TikTok on Saturday. “I am a legal advocate, I am a researcher. I have been in the legal field since 2011, and in this capacity, I feel that it’s necessary if I’m going to continue to operate appropriately as a legal advocate that I start to advocate for myself and also advocate for my daughter.”
“For those of you who don’t know, my name is Casey Anthony,” she continued. “My daughter is Caylee Anthony. My parents are George and Cindy Anthony. This is not about them. This is not in response to anything that they have said or done. … The whole point of this is for me to begin to reintroduce myself.”
Anthony went on to elaborate further about her plans for her TikTok account.
“Moving forward, the majority of what you will see will be me speaking in a professional capacity,” she stated. “My goal is to continue to help give a voice to people — to give people tools and resources they can utilize so they actually know where they can turn to.”
Anthony Fights For ‘Women’s Rights’
Anthony then said that she decided to launch this video series after people “close to” her were “targeted and attacked recently.”
“As a proponent for the LGBTQ community, for our legal community, women’s rights, I feel that it’s important that I use this platform that was thrust upon me and now look at as a blessing as opposed to the curse that it has been since 2008,” Anthony said.
“I am proverbially standing in the light, embracing this piece, still going to keep my privacy intact…and I will explain in great detail why it’s so important for people to protect their privacy,” she concluded. “With the current climate in our country especially, it’s that much more important.”

Anthony’s History
Anthony is arguably one of the most infamous people in the country, as many believe that she got away with murder.
Back in 2008, Anthony’s 2-year-old daughter Caylee went missing. She hadn’t been seen for over a month by the time Anthony’s mother Cindy alerted police. During that time, Anthony had been seen partying with her friends, which many construed as showing little concern for her missing child.
As a nationwide manhunt ensued, Anthony was arrested after police caught her in various lies. One of these fibs was that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny, Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez. This woman, however, turned out to not exist.
Caylee’s remains were found six months later in a wooded area not far from the Anthony family home. Her body had decomposed to the point where no cause of death could be determined. However, Anthony was still charged with first degree murder.
Anthony’s Trial
Anthony’s murder trial became a media circus in 2011, with 40 million people tuning in at times.
Prosecutors claimed that Anthony killed her daughter so that she could party with friends. They alleged that she saw her child as someone who stood in the way of the hard-partying lifestyle that she craved.
Meanwhile, Anthony’s defense tried to portray her as a mother who loved her daughter. They alleged that Caylee drowned in the Anthony family’s swimming pool.
The verdict was watched by almost 100 million people all around the world. The court of public opinion believed Anthony to be guilty, but the jury did not. In the years since then, Anthony has been laying low. Judging by her latest TikTok video, however, that is about to change.
