On Saturday night, the country music star Carrie Underwood ended her Las Vegas residency Reflection after over three years.
Underwood Ends Her Vegas Residency
Underwood, 42, could not help but become emotional during her final show, which lasted ninety minutes.
“We are extremely blessed to be able to be on this stage,” Underwood said, referring to herself and her band. “There are so many turns of events I know in my life, and I’m sure in these guys’ lives, that only God could have opened those doors and got me to the next place.”
“It’s been really incredible to be on that roller coaster ride, and definitely recognize that it’s all Him and just all blessings,” she continued. “It has been an absolute honor to get to be on this stage. From all of us, we are so blessed. I’m gonna be reflecting on all that we’ve done here with you guys.”

Underwood Loved Performing In Vegas
Underwood’s residency comprised 72 performances. She’s made no secret of just how much she’s enjoyed performing in Vegas during this run.
“I have always loved touring, but having the chance to play for an extended period of time in one place has really been satisfying,” Underwood told People Magazine before her last show. “I love that we get to do this show for people who have come to Las Vegas from all over the world.”
“We always like to bring big production values to our show, but Reflection really allowed us to take that to a new level,” she added.
Underwood managed to maintain her composure for much of her final show on Saturday. However, her voice noticeably cracked as she descended from the stage for the last time. This came after a rendition of the 2014 hit song “Something in the Water,” which is Underwood’s closing number.
“Thank you again for coming to Reflection,” Underwood concluded. “It has been an honor and a privilege, and a pleasure and a blessing to get to be in this stage.”

Underwood’s American Idol Return
Underwood’s Las Vegas residency may be over, but she is still just as busy as ever. Indeed, Underwood is currently serving as a judge on American Idol. This is a full circle moment for her. Underwood got her start winning the fourth season of American Idol way back in 2005.
“It has been a blast!” Underwood told Las Vegas Weekly about her American Idol return. “We started filming the auditions back in October and I’m so happy that we’ve premiered and the world can see some really amazing talent. It’s been so fun reuniting with Ryan [Seacrest] and getting to work with Luke [Bryan] and Lionel [Richie].”
“There are also a lot of folks behind the cameras that were involved with the show 20 years ago when I won the title. So it really is a full-circle moment,” she continued. “That show was the beginning of everything for me. It holds such a special place in my heart, and I love that I’m now able to be a part of someone else’s journey.”
Underwood has long been known as one of the most down to earth celebrities in the entertainment world. We can’t wait to see what Underwood has in store for us next!
