The Oscar-winning Hollywood star Brad Pitt is in mourning after his beloved mother Jane Etta Pitt died last Tuesday at the age of 84. Now, insiders are alleging that Brad is livid with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for keeping their six children away from Jane for the final 9 years of her life amidst their bitter divorce.

Brad’s Mother Passes Away

Jane was a loving grandmother who adored her fourteen grandchildren. Sadly, she had not seen Brad’s six children for nearly a decade when she died. Sources close to Brad told Daily Mail that the situation is “gut-wrenching.” They added that Brad blames Angelina for the lack of contact between his kids and their late grandmother.

“The most gut-wrenching part is that Angelina kept the kids away from his parents, from their own grandparents,” one insider said.

“The question Brad has – that we all have – is Angelina where is your heart? Are you going to remain bitter for the rest of your life?” the source continued. “It’s one thing if she wants no contact, but what about the kids?”

Jane Was A Doting ‘Grammy’ To Her 14 Grandchildren

Jane’s obituary that ran in the Springfield News-Leader highlighted just how much she loved her 14 grandchildren, six of whom were Brad’s kids. She also had three grandchildren from his brother Doug and five from his sister Julie.

“Jane was a gifted artist who expressed herself most vividly through painting,” the obituary read. “Her love for art became a cherished bond between her and her grandchildren during craft sessions and painting lessons that created lasting memories.”

“Known affectionately as ‘Grammy,’ Jane found immense joy in celebrating each grandchild’s uniqueness through one-on-one traditions lovingly known as ‘Your Special Day,'” it continued. “These treasured moments remain among the fondest memories for all fourteen of her grandchildren.”

Brad, 66, was always known to be very close to his mother. Jane was a retired school counselor who raised Brad and his siblings in Springfield, Missouri. As Brad mourns his mother’s death, he is reportedly leaning on his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, 35.

A source told People Magazine that Ines “is supporting Brad as he grieves his mother’s loss. She wants to be there for him and Brad is very much letting her be that person.”

“Ines is really close with Brad’s family as well,” the insider continued. This source added that Ines “immediately reached out to send her condolences as soon as she heard the news.”

Brad And Angelina’s History

Brad shares six children with his ex-wife Angelina, 50. During their time together, he became father to her adopted children Maddox, 24, Pax, 21 and Zahara, 20. They also shared biological children Shiloh, 19, twins Vivienne and Knox, 17.

Pitt and Jolie met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr And Mrs Smith. At the time, Pitt was still married to the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. They soon split and he began dating Jolie.

Pitt and Jolie went on to marry in 2014 in a ceremony at their vineyard Château Miraval in rural France. Jolie then filed for divorce just over two years later. Angelina filed for divorce days after a private jet flight in which she alleges that Pitt was abusive to her and their six children.

In the years since then, Brad has been cut off from his six children, as they have taken their mother’s side in the split. While this is clearly a very complicated situation, it’s sad that Jane was dragged into it and robbed of seeing six of her beloved grandchildren in the final years of her life.

Rest in peace, Jane Etta Pitt.
