Back in April, we reported that the country music star Billy Ray Cyrus is dating the British Austin Powers star Elizabeth Hurley. Now, four months later, insiders are saying that their romance is still going strong. Indeed, Cyrus is allegedly writing “sexy songs” for Hurley, who has become his “muse.”
Cyrus Writing Music About Hurley
“His next album will include songs that are about Elizabeth for sure, he is definitely smitten with his new love and she has become his muse,” a source told Daily Mail.
“Billy is always working on new music, but lately he has been doing even more love songs and it’s clear why. He is very happy with Elizabeth, she is motivating him in a very big way,” the insider continued. “The songs are all about how she “heals” him and how sexy she is.”
The source went on to reveal that Cyrus is teaching Hurley to sing. In fact, he’s showing her how to sing like a Country Western songbird.
“He feels she can sing, that singing is in her future, and maybe even a duet with him,” the insider added.
Cyrus And Hurley’s History
Cyrus and Hurley first met when they appeared together in the 2022 movie Christmas in Paradise.
“We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there,” Cyrus recalled earlier this year. “We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot.”
“The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different,” he confessed. “If all we ever were [is] the friends that we are, I would take that. She’s so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She’s a very smart businesswoman. If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.”

Cyrus And Hurley Reconnect
Though they hit it off on this movie set, Cyrus and Hurley lost touch once filming ended. However, they recently reconnected when Hurley texted Cyrus out of the blue. At the time, Cyrus was in the midst of a bitter divorce from his third wife, the singer Firerose.
“I felt like, ‘Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?’ For me, at a certain point, it was like, ‘You can’t get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you,’” Cyrus recounted. “And, in this moment, this hand kind of reached out in a text message, not a physical hand, as in the one you saw in the picture. That’d be good. A friend reached out.”
Cyrus initially “didn’t even know the number” of the person texting him. The message that he got read something like, “Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner.”
“So, I text back, I go, ‘Who is this?’ And it’s like, ‘Elizabeth Hurley.’ Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most,” Cyrus recounted. “This friend that made me laugh.”
Hurley Gushes Over Cyrus
Many see Cyrus and Hurley as polar opposites, as he’s a country music star from Tennessee while she’s a posh British actress and socialite. Hurley herself, however, isn’t shocked by the romance.
“I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising,” Hurley told Page Six back in May. “It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well.”
“We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country,” she explained. “And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”
