We previously reported that the Oscar-winning Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was preparing to flee America after her bitter eight year divorce battle with Brad Pitt finally ended. We also reported that Jolie was publicly bashing America, saying that she doesn’t “recognize” the country anymore.
Now, insiders are saying that Jolie, 50, is “sicker than anyone knows” as she prepares to make this move. Indeed, the six children that she shares with Pitt, 62, are extremely worried about her.
Jolie’s Children ‘Worry Like Crazy’ About Her
Jolie and Pitt are parents to Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17. An insider told Radar Online that the six of them “worry like crazy about their mom, to the point where they’ve all agreed never to leave her totally on her own.”
“One of them is always around and staying at the house with her,” the source added. “Zahara is leading the charge, she’s very organized, but they are all equally invested. Their mom is still the center of their worlds.”
The insider went on to say that Knox, Vivienne and Pax are all still living at home so that they can keep an eye on Jolie. Meanwhile, Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara have all moved out.
“In a year or two, it’s likely they will all want to be away at college or just living on their own, and when that happens, their plan is to take turns staying with Angie on a schedule,” the source continued.
“Angelina insists this is way over the top, that she is more than fine on her own, but, of course, she is deeply touched that they care so much,” the insider concluded. “It’s also sad that they have to feel this sort of stress, and she blames it on Brad and his relentless hounding of her.”
Jolie And Pitt’s Bitter Divorce
The six children are all believed to be estranged from Pitt. He reportedly lost their loyalty after he came violently unglued during an alcohol-fueled private plane ride that their family took in 2016. Jolie filed for divorce afterwards, with Pitt blaming her for alienating him from their children.
Pitt and Jolie’s bitter divorce battle stretched on for eight long years. It wasn’t finalized until December 30, 2024. Though their divorce is behind them, Pitt and Jolie are still battling it out in court. They are currently embroiled in a nasty legal battle over their French vineyard Château Miraval.
“I need to remove all stress,” Jolie herself reportedly wrote to her business manager in 2021. “I honestly feel I am getting sick from worry.”
Jolie To Flee America
Jolie is reportedly eager to put all of this behind her by fleeing America and starting a new life abroad.
Despite being born and raised in Los Angeles as the daughter of the Oscar-winning star Jon Voight, Jolie has long expressed her desire to leave the California city forever. She’s previously said that she will only stay in L.A. until all six of her children turn 18. The last of those children will hit that landmark in July, when Knox and Vivienne celebrate their 18th birthdays.
“I am here because I have to be here from a divorce,” Jolie admitted to The Hollywood Reporter in 2024. “But as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave.”
Like many celebrities, Jolie has also taken to expressing her dissatisfaction with America as a whole as of late.
“I love my country, but at this time, I don’t recognize my country,” Jolie told Variety back in September. “I’ve always lived internationally, my family is international, my friends, my life… My worldview is equal, united, and international.”
“Anything anywhere that divides or limits personal expressions and freedoms from anyone, I think, is very dangerous,” she concluded. “These are such serious times that we have to be careful not to say things casually. These are very, very heavy times we are living in together.”
Many celebrities have threatened to flee America over the years, but few actually follow through. However, it seems that Jolie might actually put her money where her mouth is this time.
After such a difficult split from Pitt, it appears that Jolie is eager to get a fresh start in another country. Only time will tell how that turns out for her!
