The A-list Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been embroiled in a nasty divorce battle ever since they split way back in 2016. While they were each declared legally single in 2019, they have continued to battle it out in court over their assets and custody of their six children.
Now, sources close to Pitt, 61, say that he is eager to marry again for the third time. He reportedly wants to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Ines de Ramon, 31. Pitt’s friends believe that Jolie, 49, is purposely “stalling” the divorce to thwart his marriage plans, however.
Jolie Is ‘Standing In The Way’
“Brad does want to be married again but Angie is still standing in the way, and he just wants it to be over,” one insider told Daily Mail. “She’s been dragging this out for almost a decade. Now she is stalling on their divorce being finalized.”
The source went on to claim that Pitt’s strained relationship with the six children he shares with Jolie could be a factor behind this. They are parents to Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. This insider believes that Jolie might be waiting until the twins turn 18 to allow the divorce to be finalized.
Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne have all dropped Pitt from their last name, and reports allege that Maddox and Pax no longer speak to Pitt. While the twins are believed to still have some kind of relationship with Pitt, they haven’t talked to him in years.
“She’s using this as another tactic to maintain control over him and Brad knows she is seething that he is happy,” the source said of Jolie.
As for Pitt himself, he’s reportedly desperate to put all of this behind him and end this legal battle.
“This is going on eight years now and although he would like to move forward with Ines, they both know it isn’t possible, and this is infuriating to Brad,” the insider explained. “He is so ready to tackle Miraval. Ines will wait as long as it takes.”
This is a reference to Château Miraval, the French vineyard that Jolie and Pitt have spent years fighting over.

Pitt And de Ramon
Pitt and de Ramon reportedly live together in Los Angeles, and he’s absolutely smitten with her.
“Brad is interested in getting married again, and it is all thanks to Ines,” the source said. “The thing about her is that he is so comfortable with her that it just feels right with her, and he would be more than OK to make it official.”
de Ramon has even won over Pitt’s friends, including his fellow A-list star George Clooney.
“He has spoken to those close to him, including George, and everyone has signed off on him doing it, it would be a nice thing for him as it would be the official moving on from his romantic past with [Jennifer Aniston] and Angie,” the insider continued. “That is obviously in everyone’s mind and will always be forever in the minds of millions, but it is Ines and her no nonsense nature that has finally been the person to settle down with.”
The source concluded by predicting big things for the new year.
“It is time and 2025 at some point is going to be the moment he will get engaged to her,” the insider gushed.

Pitt And Jolie’s History
Jolie and Pitt met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. And Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was still married to the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston, but the speculation began right away. They soon split and he began dating Jolie. Pitt and Jolie went on to marry in 2014 in a ceremony at their vineyard Château Miraval in rural France.
Their legal union only lasted 25 months before they broke up. A bitter custody battle over their six children subsequently ensued. That legal battle over the children and the vineyard continues to this day.
This has clearly been a very difficult situation for everyone involved. Here’s hoping that Jolie and Pitt can resolve this soon so that they can each move on with their lives.
