Earlier this year, we reported that the golf legend Tiger Woods was accused of sexual abuse by his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman, who was also trying to sue him for $30 million. New court documents have revealed that Herman is now claiming that she was sexually harassed by Woods before they even started dating.

Woods Accused Of Sexual Harassment

US Weekly reported that Herman, 39, met Woods, 47, when she began working as a manager at his restaurant The Woods Jupiter back in 2014. She’s alleging in new court documents filed last Friday that Woods began sexually harassing her soon after she began working there.

Herman’s lawyers are claiming that Woods “forced her to sign an NDA” in 2017 or else she would “be fired from her job.” By that point, Herman and Woods were in a relationship, but her lawyers have stated that “a boss imposing different work conditions on his employee because of their sexual relationship is sexual harassment.”

Herman’s attorneys went on to allege that Woods sexually harassed her once again in 2022, when she claims he kicked her out of their Florida home.

“The landlord made the availability of her housing conditional on her having sexual relationship with a co-tenant,” Herman’s lawyers argued. “That conduct amounts to sexual harassment under federal and Florida fair housing laws.”

Woods And Herman’s Breakup

Woods and Herman’s breakup was revealed two months ago, when the latter filed court papers in which she tried to nullify the NDA that the golf legend allegedly had made her sign in 2017.

“Because of the aggressive use of the Woods NDA against her by the Defendant and the trust under his control, the Plaintiff is unsure whether she may disclose, among other things, facts giving rise to various legal claims she believes she has,” those court documents read.

“She is also currently unsure what other information about her own life she may discuss or with whom,” the filing continued. “There is therefore an active dispute between the Plaintiff and the Defendant for which the Plaintiff needs a clarifying declaration from the court.”

On top of that, Herman filed a $30 million lawsuit against Woods accusing him of violating Florida’s Residential Landlord Tenant Act because they had an “oral tenancy agreement” that allowed her to live on his property in the state.

Woods Fires Back

Woods denied that they ever had any such agreement, and he denied the sexual abuse claims made by Herman while also slamming her for trying to get the NDA nullified. In court documents of his own, he described her as a “a jilted ex-girlfriend who wants to publicly litigate specious claims in court, rather than honor her commitment to arbitrate disputes in a confidential arbitration proceeding.”

“Mr. Woods invited Ms. Herman to live with him as his guest in the Residence. Mr. Woods never negotiated an oral tenancy agreement with Ms. Herman,” the court documents continued. “Nor was there ever a written tenancy agreement between Mr. Woods or the Trust.”

Wood then blasted Herman for trying to nullify the NDA by using the SPOKE Act, which protects victims of sexual assault and harassment, arguing that her doing this is “a transparent abuse of the judicial process that undermines the purpose of the federal statute and those whom the statute seeks to protect.”

Woods And Herman Had Relationship ‘Breakdown’

A source close to the situation said that the former couple had a “breakdown” in their relationship last year.

“Erica thought Tiger was never at home, and Tiger thought Erica was spending too much and living too lavish of a lifestyle,” the source alleged, adding that the former couple were frequently at odds “over time and money.”

This is clearly one very messy breakup for everyone involved. It also comes after a difficult few years for Woods that have seen him battle a wide variety of challenges personally, professionally, and physically. It remains to be seen how this one will turn out for him.
