Ellen Barkin Curses Out ‘Every Single’ Republican Despite Former Co-Star Dennis Quaid Being Conservative Christian

The Hollywood actress Ellen Barkin, who famously starred with the conservative Christian actor Dennis Quaid in the 1986 hit movie The Big Easy, launched a truly vile attack on the Republican Party this week.

Barkin Curses Out All Republicans

Barkin, 69, took to Twitter on Monday night to post a hate-filled tirade against the millions of Republicans who live in America.

“I’m sorry to have to say this. I’m sorry for my language,” she wrote. “But I f***in hate these motherf*king Republicans. Every last one. F*ck them one and all.”

Social media users were quick to flood Barkin with backlash for her hateful post.

“I’m so sad to hear you talk this way. I love your past work, but a comment like the one you made is so hateful and over the top that I can no longer be a fan,” one person tweeted, with another adding, “Welcome to the inclusive, welcoming and love everyone movement.”

“I’m sorry to have to say this, but I can do it without using foul language. The feeling is mutual. I loathe these liberals. All of them,” a third user wrote, with a fourth remarking, “I have no clue who you are, but you don’t seem very nice.”

It should be noted that Barkin’s current pinned tweet at the top of her page is a call for love.

“‘Without love there can be no justice.’ ‘Without justice there can be no love.’…bell hooks,” it reads.

So much for that!

Barkin And Quaid On Different Paths

It is painfully obvious that since starring in The Big Easy thirty years ago, Barkin and Quaid have gone down very different paths. While she’s become a hateful liberal, Quaid is a proud conservative at 69 years of age. During Donald Trump’s presidency, Quaid was one of the few celebrities who had the guts to publicly praise him.

“I think Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is doing a good job at trying to get these states—and all of the American people—what they need, and also trying to hold our economy together and be prepared for when this is all over,” Quaid said in 2020, according to Newsweek.

Quaid has also been open about adhering to strong Christian beliefs, crediting faith with bringing him together with his 30 year-old wife Laura Savoie.

“We’re both Christians, and right from the start God has always had a hand in the relationship,” he told People Magazine. “I think that’s where the real strength comes from.”

Quaid Focusing On Faith-Based Movies

At this stage in his career, much of Quaid’s focus is on starring in faith-based movies.

“I went around the world in my late 20s and the question I had was ‘Who is God?’ I became a seeker. I read the Bible cover to cover and for me, the answer is Jesus,” he explained in 2021, according to CHVN Radio.

While Quaid has yet to respond to Barkin’s tweet, we can’t imagine that he would support it in any way, given his conservative Christian values.

Before Barkin curses out every single Republican on the planet, she might want to remember that some of her own friends and former co-stars are under that umbrella.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
