Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar shamelessly campaigned for Joe Biden on “The View” on Wednesday morning, going so far as to demand that Democrats get behind him.
While discussing a potential rematch between Biden and Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, the women of “The View” admitted that the current polls don’t look so good for either one of them. However, Goldberg quickly shifted the conversation to a fervent defense of Biden.
“But Democrats, I don’t know why you’re talking about, you know — the person to do the job is doing the job,” said Goldberg, 67. “You get behind him, and we won’t have a problem. The minute you start making inroads — maybe this person, maybe this person — we’re done for! So make a decision! Make a decision.”
Behar chimed in to defend Biden as well.
“Also, he needs another four years to finish the job,” argued Behar, 80. “You can’t fight fascism in four years. You need eight years for that.”
“You also need people to recognize what their best interests are, because he has had a lot of accomplishments,” Goldberg concluded. “You know, he’s done a lot for the country. He brought us back from the precipice. It’s not a perfect country, but it’s better than where we were.”
This appeared to be a direct message to those who say that at 80 years of age, Biden should not run for president again. It also comes after Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced plans to challenge Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination, according to Mediaite.

This is far from the first time the women of “The View” have gone out of their way to defend Biden. Earlier this year, Behar used her own age to defend Biden’s mental capabilities, which frequently come under fire.
“Joe Biden and I are the same age,” Behar said last month. “Would you say I could not do my job for the next four years? Of course I can.”
“And the haters can go stick their heads in something, because I’m not moving out of this seat,” she added.

Goldberg has frequently both defended Biden and touted his accomplishments on “The View.”
“There’s nothing wrong with Joe Biden,” Goldberg said of Biden in September of last year, according to Fox News. “He has done what nobody else was able to do, and so, you know, I feel like if you’ve done a good job I want to you continue to do that. I don’t want to re-educate another person of what the values of this country are, I don’t want to do it.”
Goldberg and Behar can defend Biden all they want to, but the reality is that the latest NBCNews poll states that a whopping 70% of Americans do not want him to run for president again. In the end, Goldberg and Behar may be in for a big disappointment next year, because it is not looking good for their guy.
