Joy Behar Reveals Why She Wants Trump To Be The 2024 GOP Nominee
Despite her disdain for the former President Donald Trump, Joy Behar wants to see him be the 2024 GOP presidential nominee.
Joy Behar has spent the last several years obsessively speaking out against Donald Trump on her ABC talk show “The View.” That’s why it came as a huge surprise earlier this week when she said that she wants him to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024.

Behar Wants Trump To Secure GOP Nomination
On Wednesday’s episode of “The View,” Behar ripped the potential 2024 Republican presidential nominee Ron DeSantis (R-FL) as a “dweeb” before expressing her hopes that Trump secures the nomination.
“DeSantis is what they call a dweeb. And Trump is the one who needs to get the nomination, because then the Democrats will win. He’s a two-time loser already. Hellooooo! Loser!” Behar said as she used her hand to make an “L” sign on her forehead.
“But isn’t that a risk?” questioned Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked in the Trump administration during his presidency.

“I have been saying at this table for months, I think Ron DeSantis is the most over-hyped politician in America,” she continued. “I think this notion that he’s going to save the GOP from Trump, and score the nomination, it’s over-hyped. He had a good midterm election. He got re-elected in Florida.”
“He got re-elected. He did a good job,” Farah Griffin added. “This is a man that I want to see two things from, I want to see him with a neutral interviewer like George Stephanopoulos and actually answer tough questions. I have never seen him do a major national sit-down interview. And secondly, you don’t beat Trump by not going after Trump. I want to see him take a punch at Trump.”
Behar, however, wasn’t having any of it.
“He’s gonna miss because he’s a dweeb!” Behar said. “DeSantis is what they call a dweeb. And Trump is the one who needs to get the nomination, because then the Democrats will win.”

Trump Leading DeSantis In Poll
This comes after a Fox News poll showed that Trump is leading DeSantis by double digits among Republican primary voters, with the former president seeing an increase of 11% in support since February.
“The rumor that Trump is going to be indicted by the district attorney in Manhattan has helped him quite a bit among Republican primary voters,” said Republican pollster Daron Shaw days before the indictment officially came in.
“They view the case as politically motivated, and it reanimates feelings that Trump is still fighting forces they see as corrupt and out of control,” he continued.

Behar Uses Her Age To Defend Biden
Behar turned 80 in October of last year, and she recently shamelessly used her age to defend President Joe Biden from accusations that he does not have the cognitive abilities necessary to run for president again.
“Joe Biden and I are the same age,” Behar said last month. “Would you say I could not do my job for the next four years? Of course I can.”
“And the haters can go stick their heads in something, because I’m not moving out of this seat,” she added.

Behar may say that Trump is a “two-time loser,” but the reality is that he did win the 2016 presidential election, and he can easily do so again. In the end, Behar may ultimately be in for a rude awakening if Trump is able to secure the 2024 presidential nomination.
Be careful what you wish for, Joy!
