Brooke Shields shocked her fans this week by revealing that she declined to sleep with the late John F. Kennedy Jr. after they went on their first and only date.

Shields’ Date With JFK Jr.

Daily Mail reported that during an interview with Howard Stern, Shields revealed that she went on a date with Kennedy after they met while on a ski trip to Aspen, Colorado. She recalled that though her mother had been saying since she was a child that Kennedy was the “boy you’re going to marry,” their date got off to a rocky start.

“He kept saying I looked like his mother,” Shields claimed. “Which was really interesting, it was a compliment, but also like ‘I don’t know how to feel about this?'”

Their “date” consisted of Kennedy taking Shields to a drinking session with his family before he brought her back to his ski chalet, where they shared what she described as “the best kiss I have ever had in my life.”

“It was beyond not disappointing,” she continued. “The lips are beautiful, and the face is amazing, and the body and the person… and he was down to earth.”

Shields’ ‘Froze’ After JFK Invited Her To Bedroom

Despite this, Shields said that she “froze” when Kennedy invited her to his bedroom, explaining that she feared that her “love” for him would not be reciprocated.

“I was so afraid of being really hurt, because if I slept with him, I would have given him my entire universe, my heart, my everything,” she stated.

That’s when their date came to an abrupt halt, with Kennedy telling Shields that she could get her own cap home, a move that she described as being “a little less than chivalrous.”

“He didn’t have to though, he had women falling at his feet,” she admitted, pointing out that Kennedy dated such famous women as the actress Daryl Hannah and the pop star Madonna.

Shields concluded by saying that she only saw Kennedy one more time, the next day on the ski slope, but he “didn’t talk” to her. This only made Shields more relieved that she declined his invitation to sleep with her, telling herself, “Thank God… because he might still not have talked to you, even if you had [slept with him].”

“He showed his true colors in that,” she said.
