Triple H has held many a WWE title in his career, except for one. Now, according to a report, HHH is thinking about retiring this championship. Plus, an update on Miro’s status with AEW.

Triple H May Retire WWE Title

During his WWE career, Triple H held the WWE Championship nine times and the World Heavyweight title five times. In addition, he was Intercontinental Champion (five times), a European Champion (twice), and a WWE Tag Champion on multiple occasions.

However, during his days competing in the ring, he never held the Universal title. Mainly because this championship debuted in 2016, nearing the end of his full-time wrestling career.

As per Fight Fans, HHH is thinking about retiring this championship. Mostly because he doesn’t quite “like the title”.

The report reveals he wanted to get rid of the Universal title shortly after he took over WWE creative from Vince McMahon. However, he does realize the important role a dual championship plays for Roman Reigns.

More Information On How Triple H May Retire WWE Title

There’s been a buzz from reports that indicate the Universal and WWE titles will be split again after WrestleMania 39. In fact, there was word that this could happen before the Grandest Stage of Them All, but it never came to fruition.

With that said, the titles may split during a possible brand draft. The two championships were unified at last year’s WrestleMania when Universal Champion Roman Reigns beat WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

Finn Balor won bragging rights as the inaugural Universal Champion at the 2016 SummerSlam. Sadly, he had to relinquish the title after one day, due to injury.

Over the years, there have been 14 Universal title reigns. In addition to Brock, Reigns, and Balor, Kevin Owens has held the championship, as well as Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, and WWE Hall of Famer, Goldberg.

Over to AEW news, what is Miro’s status with the company? WNZ has an update.

Miro’s AEW Status

Miro hasn’t been seen on AEW TV since last September at All Out 2022. He teamed up with Darby Allin and Sting to beat the House of Black.

While past reports indicate that Miro has been injury-free and “ready to go”, he was also pitched a story from the promotion’s creative team at one point, which he turned down. So, what is his status, now?

What Has Miro Been Up To?

Fightful Select reports that Miro and his wife CJ Perry (former Lana in the WWE) have been away in Bulgaria for over a month. The talent still has “several years” on his AEW deal.

According to the report he signed a four-year extension about a year ago. Looks like he’s locked firmly in the promotion for many years to come.

Miro, then known as Rusev, spent 10 years with the WWE, from 2010 to 2020. He was released with a slue of other wrestlers in April 2020, due to COVID-19 budget cuts.

During his time with the WWE, he held the United States Championship, three times. He would jump to AEW in September of 2020, and win the TNT Championship in 2021.

He held on to that title until September 2021. Later that year, it was revealed that Miro was suffering from a hamstring injury.

He’d return to AEW television in June 2022. However, he’s done little with the promotion, since.
