Things went off the rails on the ABC talk show “The View” once again in a recent episode when Joy Behar lost it on her co-host Ana Navarro for daring to ask a producer a question on live television.

‘The View’ Derails

The Sun reported that during Friday’s episode, Navarro talked to her co-hosts about preparing to attend an upcoming Indian wedding.

“I love weddings because everybody’s happy and romantic,” Navarro said. “I’m going to my first Indian wedding. I’ve never been to one and I hear they are extravagant.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin responded by offering Navarro a piece of advice.

“If they request that you dress in traditional Indian garb, there’s a rental place I can tell you about because they’re very expensive,” she said.

Behar, 80, chimed in to say, “Ana brings up a good point, she doesn’t know if it’s cultural appropriation to wear a sari to an Indian wedding.”

“Not if they request it,” Hostin replied.

That’s when Navarro addressed executive producer Brian Teta, asking, “How do we feel? If I wear a sari is it cultural appropriation, Brian?”

A visibly annoyed Behar fired back at this by asking, “What are you asking him for?!”

Teta then tried to get the show back on track by waving off the question and indicating to the co-hosts that they needed to move on.

Behar Snaps

Later in the episode, however, Behar became agitated with Navarro once again when they were interviewing Gail Simmons about her show “Top Chef,” the latest season of which filmed in London. Behar was trying to end the segment when Navarro interrupted her with a request regarding the travel schedule for the Bravo reality television show.

“By the way, I want you to invite me when you go to Spain,” she said, with Simmons replying, “I’m in.”

As the two women kept talking about their travel schedules, Behar rolled her eyes as she turned to producers and shook her head in frustration.

“We gotta go!” she snapped as her fellow panelists said, “I know, I’m sorry.”

Behar Has ‘No Plans’ To Retire

Behar was one of the original hosts of “The View” when it premiered back in 1997, and though she was fired in 2013, she was brought back two years later and has remained on the show ever since. Even though she celebrated her 80th birthday back in October, she defiantly said that she has “no plans” to retire.

“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” Behar told People Magazine around the time of her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.”

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she went on to say of the ABC talk show. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

“The View” has seemingly been going off the rails more than ever as of late, and the one co-host who always is involved in some way appears to be Behar. She may have “no plans” to retire, but if she keeps up with her antics, ABC may eventually decide it’s time to cut ties with her and move on.

We can only dream!
