The 45th President of the United States and WWE Hall of Famer, Donald Trump has been indicted in New York. While the precise charges are unknown as of this writing, this seemingly is linked to the hush-money scandal centered around Stormy Daniels.

According to reports, Donald J. Trump was indicted on Thursday, March 30th in Manhattan, New York. The three lead prosecutors in the investigation walked into the building mere minutes before the grand jury was scheduled to meet.

The case centers around alleged payments made during his presidential campaign in 2016. These payments were made to silence porn star Stormy Daniels against claims of an affair during the presidential race that year.

In the days ahead, prosecutors working for Alvin L. Bragg, district attorney, will probably ask Trump to surrender or face arraignment. The charges will likely be announced once the former President is arraigned.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has accused Mr. Bragg of leading a prosecution that was politically motivated. He has also consistently denied any affair with the porn star, Daniels.

The indictment is sure to shake up the landscape of the 2024 presidential race. After all, Trump currently leads the Republican nomination in most polls, so this will likely create uncertainty for the party.

The indictment marks Trump as the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges. WNZ will keep you posted on any further developments.

Trump’s History With the WWE

Trump has had an interesting relationship with the WWE and the McMahon family over the years, which stemmed from the late 1980s when WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V took place in Atlantic City. He also participated in a “Battle of the Billionaires” feud against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 23.

In 2009, Trump was part of a WWE storyline where he purchased Monday Night RAW from Vince McMahon, only to sell it back to VKM. He hit a major milestone in 2013, when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

In 2016, when Trump was elected President of the United States, Linda McMahon joined his cabinet. Her official role was Administrator of Small Business Administration, before leaving the post.
