MiWWE superstar Johnny Gargano recently updated fans on Tommaso Ciampa’s return to the company and talks about how a DIY reunion is possible. Plus, Shawn Michaels reveals NXT Europe is still in an “organizational” phase.

DIY Reunion Is Possible

During a recent interview with Catch Club, Gargano offered an update on his friend and tag team partner, Tommaso Ciampa’s condition. He notes that Ciampa is “rehabbing” from his injury and trying to get back to action.

As Gargano states that Ciampa is one of the “toughest” and “most resilient” men he knows. Johnny says that what Tommaso has put his body through, and the number of surgeries and comebacks he’s done is “inspirational”.

Currently, Ciampa is recovering from a hip labrum injury. There’s no timeframe set for his WWE return.

But, Is A DIY Reunion Possible?

When asked about the possibility of a DIY reunion when Ciampa returns, Gargano says he “hopes” the “awesome story” of the tag team can be told. He also states that Tommaso is in good spirits and hopes to return to the ring, soon.

Gargano says that as long as he and Tommaso are in the same company and wrestling, they’ll always be connected. He reveals there’s always the idea of what could happen if DIY was on either the Red or Blue brand and the dream matches that could follow.

Here’s hoping that Ciampa can return to action, soon. A DIY reunion would be incredible for the tag team division on any brand.

Over to other WWE news, fans are gearing up for NXT Europe. But when can we expect the brand to debut?

NXT Europe Still In “Planning” Phase

According to Shawn Michaels, NXT Europe is still in its planning stage. The WWE Hall of Famer notes that they will hopefully launch by the end of 2023.

NXT Europe was announced in the summer of 2022. It will replace the now-scrapped NXT UK.

After the announcement was made about NXT Europe, the WWE cut almost every superstar from NXT UK. Only a few talents were moved to NXT 2.0.

Since WWE made the announcement and organized releases, little has been mentioned about NXT Europe. Although this past January, Triple H did state “a lot of progress” was made with the brand, and the talent search would extend worldwide.

More On NXT Europe’s Debut

With that said, Shawn Michaels, Head of WWE NXT, spoke to SportsMail’s Alex McCarthy recently. He notes that things are still being organized and the hope is “everything will be” running by the end of this year.

Michael reveals that he’s learning, and this isn’t something you just “throw together”. He adds that everyone will feel better if it takes a bit longer, to ensure its success.

Still, it sounds like the company may have to re-hire some of the NXT UK talents back. Late in 2022, former NXT UK star Amale notes she would love to join NXT Europe, stating it’s going to be “really special”.

Plus, earlier in March, ex-NXT UK stars Rampage Brown and Sha Samuels were seen at the Performance Center in Orlando. Could they be gearing up for NXT Europe?

Only time will tell. For now, fans will have to wait and see.
