Things got weird on the ABC talk show “The View” once again last week when the 80 year-old Joy Behar gave some sex tips that absolutely nobody was asking for, revealing that the two things that get her in the mood are a “porn movie” and a “martini.”

Behar’s Sex Tips

It all started when the women of “The View” were discussing whether or not spontaneous sex is “overrated” in comparison to scheduled sex. Co-host Sunny Hostin was “horrified” by the idea of scheduling sex, with Alyssa Farah Griffin agreeing that there was “nothing sexy about it.”

Behar, however, disagreed with both of them.

“I’m all for planning ahead. You need that extra time,” she said. “You need to get in the right mindset to picture different people, for example.”

The martini in the afternoon on an empty stomach is good,” Behar added. “I approve of that.”

When Farah Griffin argued that “more women need a little more time to get in the mood,” Behar replied, “If you’re scheduling it, you have time to warm yourself up and have your own foreplay session with yourself.”

“I don’t want to do my own foreplay,” Sara Haines chimed in to say.

Behar Doubles Down

That’s when Behar went into even more detail about the sex life that she shares with her husband Steve Janowitz, who she’s been married to since 2011. 

“You say, ‘OK, Friday night at 8 o’clock we’re gonna do it, right?’ So at 7 o’clock you watch a porn movie, you read a book and now you’re ready,” Behar told the stunned panel, adding that she went “straight for the porn.”

“You don’t have to get porn, exactly,” she clarified. “There’s soft porn all over Netflix and Prime [Video] and everything else.”

Behar’s Romantic History

Though Behar has been married to Janowitz since 2011, she has actually been with him since 1982. Prior to that, she was married to Joseph Behar from 1965 until they divorced in 1981.

“I waited until all the parents were dead,” Behar once said of why she waited so long to marry Janowitz, according to Closer Weekly. “So I have no in-laws at all. He has none and I have none. ‘Cause marriage is mostly about in-laws, I find. They always want you to visit them and come for lasagna.”

Behar revealed on one episode of “The View” that she met Janowitz at a nudist colony, according to The Sun.

“He was all the way on the other side of this place — and it was like an adult place,” she continued. “He was far away naked. And then at night, there was a movie playing, and then I saw him fully dressed.”
