Joe Rogan’s Estranged Father Launches Attack On Him – ‘Money Went To His Head’

The estranged father of the comedian Joe Rogan, who hosts the number one podcast in America, is speaking out this week to slam him.

Rogan’s Father Sounds Off

Joe Rogan Sr., 81, fired back at his son after the 55 year-old podcast host made comments that many have deemed to be anti-semitic.

“The idea that Jewish people don’t like money is ridiculous,” Rogan said. “That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s f–king stupid.”

This didn’t sit well with Rogan Sr., who told The New York Post, “Who are you to judge people? Who made you God last night?”

“I’m not prejudiced. Everybody has got to live and I teach my kids that,” he continued. “This bothers me. The money went to his head and his head got bigger than his hat — he fools people.”

Rogan has not spoken to his father since he was 7 years-old and claims that he was abusive towards his mother, describing him as a “psychotic person who beat the f–k out of my mother.” Rogan Sr. has denied that he was ever abusive towards his ex-wife, and he’s sent his son a legal letter in the hopes of forcing him to stop talking about him on his podcast.

ADL Slams Rogan

This came after Jonathan Greenblatt, director of the Anti-Defamation League, spoke out against Rogan for his comments.

“It’s disturbing that, at a time of rising anti-Jewish violence, when growing numbers of Americans believe in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, Joe would use his immense platform to spew ant-Semitic tropes about Jews and money,” he said. “For centuries, people have used these longstanding tropes to spread vicious lies about the Jewish people.”

“It’s extremely disappointing that Joe has not even bothered to address the issue, let alone apologize, and Spotify has pretty much ignored the issue entirely,” he added.

Spotify responded to this by saying, “Spotify has made — and will continue to make — significant investments in both human and algorithmic detection measures to help ensure our platform provides a safe experience for all, and we remain committed to rigorously enforcing these platform rules.”

Spotify Stands By Rogan

A source with Spotify said that the music streaming giant is a “complicated platform” and that higher-ups have “stuck by” Rogan. Other sources have confirmed that Rogan did not violate any Spotify guidelines with his comments.

“His comments did adhere to the company’s policies,” said the Spotify insider, adding that “not everyone inside the company” was happy with the policy.

Spotify guidelines that were released last year state that content should be avoided if it “incites violence or hatred towards a person or group of people based on race, religion …” or makes “dehumanizing statements about a person or group.”

Rogan has found himself in hot water in the past for things like his use of the N-word and comments about transgender people. He also previously got in trouble for saying that young Americans didn’t “need to worry about” getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

“I talk s–t for a living,” Rogan previously said.

Rogan will undoubtedly not be happy to see that his estranged father is speaking out against him. Based on Rogan Sr.’s latest comments, it does not seem like their relationship will be mended anytime soon.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
