Candace Cameron Bure Slams Grammy Awards For Not Highlighting ‘Christian And Gospel Artists’
Candace Cameron Bure refused to watch the Grammy Awards after slamming them for not highlighting Christian artists.
The Grammy Awards took place on Sunday night, and hours before, the former “Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure took to social media to give her thoughts on the music awards show.

Cameron Bure Rips Grammys
“Not podcast related but today are the Grammys and can we see some of the Christian and gospel artists on the red carpet? Can we see Hillary Scott and Kirk Franklin and TobyMac and Maverick City, Phil Wickham? I would really like that,” Cameron Bure, 46, said on her Instagram Story, according to OK! Magazine.
Cameron Bure later returned to her Instagram Story to reveal that she didn’t end up watching the Grammy Awards.
“BTW- I didn’t watch the Grammys. No interest,” she said. “They never show the artists I listen to. Just wanted to see red carpet photos of those I mentioned.”

Cameron Bure’s ‘Traditional Marriage’ Controversy
Cameron Bure has long been known as one of the only openly conservative Christian actresses in Hollywood. She’s come under fire from the left over the past few months after she dared to say in an interview that her new home network Great American Family “will keep traditional marriage at the core” of its content. Instead of backing down and apologizing, however, Cameron Bure stood by her Christian views.
“All of you who know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people,” she said. “It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone. It saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies. But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldn’t be surprised.”
“I am a devoted Christian,” she continued. “Which means that I believe that every human being bears the image of God. Because of that, I am called to love all people, and I do. If you know me, you know that I am a person who loves fiercely and indiscriminately. My heart yearns to build bridges and bring people one step closer to God, to love others well, and to simply be a reflection of God’s huge love for all of us.”

Cameron Bure’s Faith Gets Her Through ‘Difficult Year’
At the end of 2022, Cameron Bure credited her faith with helping her through a “difficult year” that included not only being targeted by cancel culture, but also losing her “Full House” co-star Bob Saget.
“My faith is so the core and foundation of who I am that sometimes I don’t verbally acknowledge it because it’s just my assumption,” she explained, according to Yahoo News. “It’s like, well, ‘If you get Candace, you get faith.’ It’s one and the same. It is with me all the time. It is in all that I do.”
“I’m very grateful for God’s protection and love,” she added.

Christians everywhere will be able to relate to Cameron Bure’s opinion of the Grammy Awards, as many of the “musicians” who won prizes had names that were unrecognizable to the average American. Perhaps if the Grammys and other awards shows actually paid homage to the Christian artists that many Americans love, more people would actually watch them.
