New reports are coming in alleging that three teams are considering pursuing Tom Brady’s services in free agency.

Three Teams Looking At Brady

The New York Post reported that the Titans, 49ers and Raiders are all considering adding Brady, 45. The NFL legend is set to become an unrestricted free agent after his season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers comes to an end, at which time he will either be playing his 24th season, or retiring for good.

“He’ll be 46 years old and I would say there’s a chance that he does not return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite the fact that they very much want him back and plan to make efforts toward that,” said the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“Among the teams that would consider Brady — a couple of them considered Brady last time [in his first free agency in 2020],” he added. “The Tennessee Titans still have some quarterback questions. The 49ers if they do not decide to roll with Brock Purdy, although he’s certainly stating his case. And then the Las Vegas Raiders, who have several of his old friends including Josh McDaniels.”

McDaniels was Brady’s offensive coordinator and position coach during his time with the New England Patriots, and they won six Super Bowls together.

Brady Sounds Off

During a press conference on Friday, Brady was asked about reports linking him to the Dolphins and Raiders while he’s attempting to “lock in” in the playoffs.

“I don’t know,” Brady said. “You guys gotta write something new every day, so just wake up and try to show up for my job.”

Brady announced last year that he was retiring, only to change his mind a few weeks later, deciding that he wanted to play another season with the Buccaneers.

“You try to compartmentalize things and really focus on what your job is. And I think our team — there’s a lot of outside noise and I know people [say], ‘Tom, you should have retired. You should have done this, you should have done that.’ And that’s OK,” Brady recently said, according to ESPN. “For me, there’s always gratification when you make this commitment, and you have a group of individuals that do the same and you see something pay off.”

Coach Bowles Speaks Out

“Tom is tough,” coach Todd Bowles said earlier this week. “He’s been around for a long time. There’s not a lot he hasn’t seen or been through. I don’t think every day of his career has been a great day. He’s had some rough days here and there, but he works through them, he’s resilient … he led us out of a lot of things.”

Brady is trying to win his eighth Super Bowl, but Bowles admits that the team’s chances of making that happen this year are slim.

“You really can’t worry about people counting you out,” he said. “We know we’ve been in the foxhole since we got to training camp, and we’re going to continue to stay in that foxhole and we’re going to fight our way out of it.”

It will certainly be interesting to see where Brady’s career takes him after this season comes to an end! All we can do for the moment is stay tuned to find out.
