Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Her Strong Christian Faith – ‘I Pray Every Night’

As someone who has starred on reality TV for years, Kim Kardashian is open about pretty much everything in her life, but one thing she’s stayed quiet about is her strong Christian faith: until now.

‘I Pray Every Night’

While appearing on the “Angie Martinez IRL Podcast” this week, the 42 year-old Kardashian was asked if she prays.

“I do,” she replied, according to Fox News. “I pray every night with my kids. Even if I’m, you know out of town, they have to call me, and we say our prayers together over FaceTime.”

Kardashian was referring to the four children she shares with her rapper ex-husband Kanye West: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

“They just like that,” she continued. “They can’t go to bed without that.”

Though she has a net worth that is estimated to be $1.8 billion, Kardashian is adamant that she still finds plenty of things to pray for.

“Health and happiness,” she said when asked about the things she prays for. “And calmness, sometimes. Sometimes I need a little bit of help in that area.”

Kardashian went on to add that “calmness is my superpower.”

‘I Believe In God’

Despite being married three times, Kardashian still describes herself as a “hopeless romantic” who believes that God will send her the right man at the right time. 

“I believe in God, love, faith in all of it, and he will bring me my perfect person,” she said. 

In this same interview, Kardashian talked about how being the victim of an armed robbery in Paris, France back in 2016 changed her perspective when it comes to material things in life. 

“It used to mean so much to me,” she said of material things like clothing.

“It’s completely how I valued my importance by the things that I had — the cars that I had. I had to have like — I thought that that made me cooler,” Kardashian admitted. “After I was robbed of all of it in Paris, I didn’t know I was needing that lesson, but that lesson was so well received.”

Kardashian’s History With God

Kardashian has referenced her faith in God a few times over the years. After she gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy with her first child North, who she gave birth to in 2013, she said that she felt that the weight gain was meant to be a lesson from God.

“I’d think God was doing this for a reason,” Kardashian told Elle Magazine afterwards. “He was saying: ‘Kim, you think you’re so hot, but look what I can do to you.’ My body just went crazy. After five months I swore I’d never get pregnant again. I got so huge and it felt like someone had taken over my body.”

In this same interview, Kardashian admitted that she had such low self esteem as a teenager that she regularly prayed to God that her voluptuous body would stop developing during puberty. 

“I’m an Armenian girl, I have shape, and it turned out people liked that. That makes me feel good about myself and about other women for being so supportive,” she said. “I am a confident woman, but I didn’t just arrive confident – it has built over the years and that is a big part of who I am now.”
