Oprah Winfrey is being called out by the shock jock radio host Howard Stern for “showing off” her lavish lifestyle on social media.

This comes a year after Stern slammed Oprah for holding dinner parties during the pandemic.

Stern Sounds Off

Daily Mail reported that during his radio show on Monday, Stern marveled at how Oprah “loves showing off” her $2.5 billion lifestyle and is “not embarrassed” by it at all.

“Oprah’s not embarrassed by her wealth at all,” he continued, adding that those who follow Oprah on social media “see her estates, her gardens, the people who service her.”

“Service her? She’s not a car,” Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers chastised him.

“Well, she kind of is,” he fired back as he stood his ground. “She’s got servants and like people cooking and it’s f****** wild.”

Stern Doubles Down

Not stopping there, Stern said that Oprah “knows” how to be wealthy and “likes” showing it off.

“Which is something I’m not comfortable with,” he said. “I don’t think that people should show off their wealth.”

Quivers continued to disagree with him, saying, “Oprah’s just showing you her life. She’s not showing off.”

Stern, however, was not having any of it.

“You gotta be a little self-aware and know that there are people struggling out there, Robin. You got to,” he stated. “You gotta kind of think about people who don’t have — to eat. You know what I’m saying? I mean, come on. You gotta be a little bit aware of this.”

“Well, if you don’t show your wealth, are they getting fed?” Quivers responded.

“No, they are not,” Stern responded. “But I make a good living, and I’m having trouble watching Oprah. I go, ‘wow. Look what’s going on over there?’ Her estate is unbelievable. When she goes shopping, she goes shopping in her backyard cause everything is growing back there. There’s a farm back there.”

Stern Praises Oprah For Her Charity Work

Stern did, however, make a point of praising Oprah for the work that she’s done through her The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, noting that she invited students to her home for Thanksgiving.

“Every Thanksgiving she welcomes the African gals at her boarding school in Africa for girls — I guess whose parents abandon them,”‘ he said. “And she takes them in and they call her like ‘Mama’… and all the African women come up to her estate and they start singing.”

“I think [the girls] believe Oprah’s God because she gives them an education,” he added. “She gives them meals, don’t ask. They love her. And it’s impressive. I gotta be honest. I mean, it’s real charity work.”

Oprah currently has a net worth of $2.5 billion, according to Forbes, after working in media for decades. She became a millionaire in 1989 and reached billionaire status in 2000, becoming the first black woman to ever do so.

Oprah’s main home is a 23,000-square-foot neo-Georgian mansion that is located on a 66-acre property in Montecito, California, an area that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also call home. She also owns various other homes around the globe, including a $30+ million compound that she bought ten years ago.

As for Stern, he has a net worth of $85 million and is the highest paid radio host in the world. After his latest comments on Oprah, however, it’s safe to say that she won’t be appearing on his radio show anytime soon!
