UFC Fight Night Results: Big-Time Victory For Yan Xiaonan

Yan Xiaonan scored a career-defining victory over Mackenzie Dern Saturday night at UFC Fight Night.

The event took place from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, streaming live on ESPN+. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife were both in attendance as the only noticeable fans.

Yan claimed a decision over Dern, earning two of the three scorecards. The other ruled it a draw after Dern turned it on in the fifth and dominated the round. By that point, though, Yan had done enough for the win.

The 33-year-old from China improved to 16-3 with a no-contest, snapping a two-fight losing skid. She has now bested the likes of Dern, Claudia Gadelha, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Angela Hill in recent years.

The co-main event saw Randy Brown get by Franciso Trinaldo, claiming a decision victory.

Raoni Barcelos, Sodiq Yusuff and Mike Davis were all winners on the main card. Yusuff earned a first round submission over Don Shainis after he locked in a guillotine choke just 30 seconds into the fight.

On the prelims, Daniel Santos, Ilir Latifi, Joaquim Silva, Brendan Allen, Chelsea Chandler and Guido Canneitti were winners. Santos and John Castaneda earned “Fight of the Night,” with Silva, Allen, Chandler and Cannetti picking up “Performance of the Night” bonuses.
