Tom Brady Reportedly Devastated Over Wife Gisele Bündchen’s Alleged Decision To Hire A Divorce Lawyer

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is reportedly “very hurt” by his supermodel wife supermodel Gisele Bündchen’s decision to hire a divorce lawyer amidst rumors that their marriage is on the rocks.

‘He Feels Very Hurt’

“It’s pretty obvious that he’s hurting,” a source close to Tom told People Magazine. “He feels very hurt by her.”

Though it’s been reported that Tom and Gisele’s marital woes are due to his decision to un-retire and return to professional football, the insider said that it’s actually more complex than that.

“It’s complicated,” the source said. “There’s a lot more to it.”

The insider went on to say that both Tom and Gisele have now hired divorce attorneys.

“She is the one steering the divorce,” the source claimed. “She is playing offense and he is playing defense. He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he’s only starting to go the legal route in his defense from her. He doesn’t want this to be ugly, he doesn’t want to fight. If the divorce is happening — and it seems like it is — he wants it to go as smoothly as possible.”

‘Tom Has Had A Very Charmed Life’

Given the fact that Tom is someone who is used to winning, this is a difficult experience for him.

“Think about it: Tom has had a very charmed life,” said the source. “Things always seem to go his way. He works hard, he’s a good guy, he hasn’t had a lot of things go wrong in his life. This is awful for him. You can tell that this really, really hurts.”

Tom and Gisele have been married since 2009, and they share two children together plus an older son from a previous relationship of his. Another source told People Magazine that the couple’s issues are nothing new.

“[The problems] are 10 years old,” this insider said. “This has been going on forever. This is nothing new to either of them.”

Gisele has been noticeably absent from the first four games of Tom’s NFL season, and they are said to be living separately.

“Gisele is doing fine,” reportedly said the source. “She is getting her stuff in order. They are both over [fighting for their marriage] and it’s happening now so they can do their own thing and move on.”

“They are both smart people and number one in their field,” the insider continued. “They know together they are worth more.”

Gisele Has ‘Concerns’

Gisele told Elle last month that she has concerns about Tom continuing to play football because it is a “violent sport.”

“Obviously, I have my concerns — this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she said. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

Should Tom and Gisele move forward with their divorce, they will have a multi-million dollar fortune to divide between them. It remains to be seen how this will all play out.
