Earlier this week, we reported that rumors were swirling that NFL star Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen were having marital issues that had escalated to the point where they may be heading for divorce. ‘Gisele Isn’t Back With Tom’

Page Six reported that the couple’s marital problems stem from Gisele being unhappy with Tom changing his mind about retiring and returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as quarterback earlier this year.

“Gisele isn’t back with Tom,” a source told the publication. “She flew back to Florida to be with her kids but hasn’t been to their home in Tampa.”

“Tom is still hoping they can reconcile,” this insider added. “Gisele has told him she’s leaving him before, and they always made up when she cooled down.”

It is believed that Gisele is staying in Miami for the time being. The outlet’s insider claimed rumors that she and Tom are in the midst of actually divorcing are “not true,” contradicting other sources that allege the couple are heading in that direction.

Gisele And Tom’s ‘Epic Fight’

It was revealed last week that Gisele had flown to her home in Costa Rica after an “epic fight” with Tom fueled by the quarterback’s decision to “un-retire” from professional football.

“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind,” said a second insider, with a third adding, “There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids.”

“Gisele was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn’t thrilled at all when he went back on that,” a separate source had previously told People Magazine. “They’re hitting a rough patch. But I know they’re trying, or at least trying to figure it out and make it better. He wants to get through this and for things to get better.”

‘This Is A Very Violent Sport’

Tom and Gisele have been married since 2009, and they share two children together, plus an older son from a previous relationship of his. Earlier this week, Gisele opened up to Elle Magazine about her fears over Tom continuing to play football professionally. 

“This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she said. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy too.”

Tom Talks About ‘Different Perspective’

On his “Let’s Go!” podcast on Tuesday, Tom touched on how important family is to him, though he pointedly avoided specifically talking about his marriage.

“I think there comes a point in your life where you say: ‘You know what? I’ve had my fill, and it’s enough and time to go on, to move into other parts of life,'” Brady admitted. 

“As you get older, life changes quite a bit,” he said. “There’s different responsibilities that take form in your life. There’s different perspective you gain.”
