Things got weird on Thursday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View” during a segment about a Texas woman who claims that her house is haunted by “sexual” ghosts. It didn’t take long for the segment to go off the rails as co-host Joy Behar claimed that she’s “had sex with a few ghosts” herself.

Segment On Ghost Sex

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the segment by bringing up Linda Hill, a North Texas resident who alleges that ghosts in her home told her that she was “lookin’ good” in the shower, according to Decider. She also claimed to have taped the ghosts saying things like “Oh baby, oh baby, yeah,” and “Yeah, I like it like that.”

Behar, however, wasn’t having any of it. She dismissed Hill as “a whack-job” and was quick to say that this was nothing more than “a sexual hallucination,” going on to add that “we all have that.”

When co-host Sunny Hostin admitted she was curious as to what the “sexual” ghosts looked like, Behar fired back by joking that they were George Clooney doppelgängers, meaning that they look like the famous actor.

“If you have sex with a ghost, do you get pregnant?” asked co-host Sara Haines.

“No,” Hostin replied, adding that she doesn’t see ghost sex as cheating and implying that she might be interested in partaking in it herself.

“It’s not terrible, it would not be a terrible thing,” she said.

“I’ve had sex with a few ghosts [and] never got pregnant,” Behar muttered, much to the shock of her fellow co-hosts.

Goldberg Stunned

Goldberg seemed particularly shocked, dropping her mouth open in surprise after she heard what Behar said.

“I’m just gonna let that ride,” Goldberg stammered. “I don’t know how many of you heard what Joy just said, but I’m gonna let it ride.”

“It’s the safest sex you’re gonna have,” Haines chimed in to add of ghost sex.

Goldberg then tried to explain the concept of a succubus, which Merriam Webster defines as “a demon assuming female form to have sexual intercourse with men in their sleep.” She told her co-hosts “you do not want” a succubus “in your life” because it “sucks the life out of you.”

“It’s a sex toy demon?” Hostin bizarrely asked, to which Goldberg replied, “No, they don’t need toys.”

“Did you talk to them when you were Oda Mae Brown?” Haines asked, referring to the Oscar-winning role that Goldberg played in the 1990 classic Ghost, which also starred Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.

“No, that was a movie!” Goldberg replied.

Haines responded by bursting out laughing, and the show thankfully went to a commercial after that. We can all consider ourselves lucky that Behar didn’t give any further details about her sexual history with ghosts.

Behar Has ‘No Plans To Retire’

This comes nearly two weeks after Behar celebrated her 80th birthday. Despite her advanced age, Behar told People Magazine earlier this month that she has “no plans to retire.”

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she said of “The View.” “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched!”

“I’m happy to be a part of it,” she added. “So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

If Behar continues to make bizarre comments like her remarks on ghost sex this morning, however, perhaps ABC executives will mercifully decide that it’s time for her to go. Oh, how amazing that would be!
