Country music legend Dolly Parton has launched yet another venture called Doggy Parton, which is a line of dog apparel, accessories, toys and more.

Parton’s New Doggy Line

“‘Puppy Love’ was my very first record, and six decades later, my love for pets is stronger than ever,” Parton, 76, said in a statement, according to NPR. “This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton apparel, accessories, toys and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair,” Parton said in a video statement on Twitter.

“Puppy Love” came out way back in 1959, when Parton was only 13 years old. Take a listen to it yourself in the video below.

Parton went on to say that some of the proceeds from Doggy Parton will go to Willa B. Farms, a Nashville-based animal rescue organization, “where animals in need find never-ending love.”

“Don’t we all need that?'” she added.

Meet Billy The Kid

Billy The Kid is a French bulldog who is also a social media influencer, and he is owned by Danny Nozell, Parton’s longtime manager.

Nozell has previously revealed that Parton and Billy The Kid have had a strong bond from the moment that they met one another.

“Dolly is like a mother to me,” he said back in 2020. “She laid eyes on Billy and told me that I couldn’t give this dog to any more ex-girlfriends —he would have to go to her!”

Nozell started an Instagram for Billy The Kid, who is 3 years old, and it has since amassed over 40,000 followers.

Parton Has A Pet Cemetery

Parton is such an animal lover that she has a pet cemetery on her property in Tennessee where she can lay her beloved animals to rest, according to Cheat Sheet.

She’s been open in the past about enjoying spending time in cemeteries, whether they’re for humans or animals.

“That’s not a morbid thing,” she said, according to the book Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics. “I love cemeteries because when I was growing up, that was some of the best kept – you know, people always took care of the graves, it’s like a golf course.”

“It’s a very peaceful, quiet place to go where nobody but weirdos like me really want to hang out,” she added. “I don’t go there just to hang out with the dead, the dead don’t scare me … it’s the living that’s got me frightened.”

Parton truly is a one of a kind woman, and there will never be another one like her. We can’t wait to check out her new doggy line ourselves!
