Every week dozens of new TV shows and movies pop up on Netflix. There are so many new movies that sometimes it can be hard to find something suitable to watch from back in the day. But fear not, for I am here to list five of the best “classic” movies you can find on Netflix.
For the sake of a definition, “classic” movies are anything that’s more than 40 years old. Even though 1990 was over 30 years ago, it still feels like it was a decade ago for many of us. From CGI-less action to timeless comedy, let’s dive into the best old-school classics on Netflix.
Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Jim Brown, Telly Savalas. Nowadays, a cast like this would be stuck in some soulless, endlessly self-referential Marvel movie. But in 1967, director Robert Aldrich reigned this star-studded cast in a humorous and deliciously violent movie that inspired a whole genre of over-the-top action films. A pleasure to watch!
Remember to always look on the bright side of life, kids! Despite Holy Grail being the more loved film, I think Life of Brian is a great movie that is both funny and contemplative at the same time. Also, it’s one of the few times that the Monty Python crew could tell a coherent story.
A Patterson family tradition is watching White Christmas together on Christmas Eve. I’ve seen that movies at least 20 times, and I can still quote every line from it!

Before Warren Beatty made some of the worst movies ever* and Faye Dunaway was famous for ruining the Oscars, these two were some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Bonnie & Clyde is a throwback crime thriller that does a great job of telling the full story of the infamous robbing duo.
