Sharon Osbourne Torches CBS For Firing Her After Defending Piers Morgan – “I’m Not Racist, He’s Not Racist”

British television personality Sharon Osbourne is speaking out this week to blast CBS for firing her from her gig on The Talk last year after she came forward to defend her friend Piers Morgan, who was accused of being a racist after levelling criticism against Meghan Markle.

‘I Was This Lamb Slaughtered’

In her new Fox Nation four-part docuseries Sharon Osbourne: To Hell and Back, the wife of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne opens up about how she found herself “in the crosshairs of the cancel culture movement.”

“I was this lamb slaughtered that morning, and CBS denied responsibility,” she said, according to Entertainment Weekly

Osbourne went on to say that “cancel culture” has allowed people to “destroy my life because of the way I feel.”

“I’ve worked in this industry for 50 years — actually, 55,” she said. “I didn’t want that to be the end of my career, and I thought it was unfair.”

Without hesitation, Osbourne stood her ground and proceeded to defend her long-time friend.

“I’m not racist. “He’s not racist,” she doubled down, “but because he said something about somebody who is mixed race… I said, ‘That’s nothing to do with that.’ He knew Meghan for a long time, so he’s talking from experience.”

Osbourne’s Scandal On ‘The Talk’

Osbourne found herself in hot water with CBS after she defended Morgan for questioning claims that Meghan made in her infamous tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. Osbourne was then accused of toxic and racist behavior behind the scenes on The Talk, but she denied the allegations that were made against her.

“The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host,” her rep said at the time. “For 11 years Sharon has been kind, collegial and friendly with her hosts as evidenced by throwing them parties, inviting them to her home in the U.K. and other gestures of kindness too many to name.”

“Sharon is disappointed but unfazed and hardly surprised by the lies, the recasting of history and the bitterness coming out at this moment,” the representative added.

After a probe that lasted for several weeks, CBS issued a statement as to make official their decision to cut ties with Osbourne.

“The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home,” the network said in a statement.

“As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace,” CBS accused. “We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.”

‘Piers Isn’t A Racist’

Despite everything that has happened, Osbourne still defended Morgan in her docuseries.

“Piers isn’t a racist, has never written anything that’s racist, has never said anything that’s racist,” she said, as per USA Today. “He was branded a racist, and because I supported him, I was branded a racist.”

Osbourne added that during the segment that got her fired, she was “about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist and that makes me a racist.”

What happened to Osbourne was deeply disturbing, and incredibly unfair. The higher-ups at CBS should be ashamed of themselves, and we’re glad to see that Fox Nation is giving her a platform to tell her story.

His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
