Things got heated on the ABC talk show “The View” on Wednesday after Whoopi Goldberg outrageously claimed that God supports abortion, but her conservative guest host Elisabeth Hasselbeck was not having any of it.

Goldberg And Hasselbeck Go At It

Fox News reported that Goldberg began by nonsensically claiming that she and all her co-hosts on “The View” are “pro-life,” even though they regularly have meltdowns over the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which handed the issue of abortion back to the states. She also claimed that God is fine with abortion because he gave women “freedom of choice.”

Not stopping there, Goldberg argued that Jesus Christ’s teaching of, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” is why she can’t speak out against abortion because doing so would mean judging others.

This came after Hasselbeck promoted adoption centers and pro-life “agencies” as great options for women who feel that they can’t raise a baby. She called on women who feel this way to “look for the nonprofits, look for the agencies that help you create a birth plan and match you with an adoptive family who may have suffered miscarriage after miscarriage who want to care for the baby.”

“I don’t believe in giving women half the information out there,” the conservative media personality added.

‘God Doesn’t Make Mistakes’

That’s when Goldberg made her “freedom of choice” argument.

“As you know, God doesn’t make mistakes,” Goldberg insisted. “God made us smart enough to know when it wasn’t going to work for us. That’s the beauty of giving us freedom of choice.”

This implies that abortion and adoption are essentially the same things in the eyes of God, as they are each “choices” that he gives women. Hasselbeck, however, wasn’t having any of it, as she said an emphatic “No” in response to this nonsense.

Goldberg nevertheless continued, saying that her own relationship with God is “always choppy,” to which Hasselbeck replied, “He [God] loves you.”

“Listen. I have no doubt, but I also know that God made me smart enough to know that if there are alternatives out there that can work for me, I will investigate them, but I also know God said, ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ I will not make that decision for anybody,” Goldberg declared.

‘What About The Life In The Womb?’

“What about the life in the womb?” Hasselbeck replied. “I will say this, that life has a plan and a purpose designed by God. I don’t believe there is any circumstance—”

Goldberg interrupted her by saying “I love that you feel that way,” clearly indicating that she did not feel the same way with her tone.

Unsurprisingly, the super-liberal Joy Behar also disagreed with Hasselbeck promoting adoption as an alternative to abortion.

“There are 117,000 children waiting to be adopted right now, so it’s not such a snap thing, ‘I’ll have the baby and it will be put up for adoption,'” she said.

Co-host Sara Haines agreed, saying that adopted babies “get turned into a social system that fails them.”

Hasselbeck was the token conservative on “The View” from 2003 until 2013, and she has returned to guest host this week. We applaud her for courageously taking a stand for the unborn, even in the face of ignorant arguments from hateful leftists like Goldberg and Behar.
