It’s rare to find a celebrity in the liberal entertainment industry that is brave enough to speak out publicly against President Joe Biden. That’s why it came as such a welcome surprise when Pink Floyd cofounder Roger Waters did just that, slamming Biden as a “war criminal” who is “fueling the fire in Ukraine.”

Waters Rips Into Biden

Waters, 78, slammed Biden during a stop on his current “This Is Not a Drill” tour, which sees him tell his audience at the start of each show, “If you’re one of those ‘I love Pink Floyd but I can’t stand Roger’s politics’ people, you might do well to f— off to the bar right now.”

“Joe Biden is fueling the fire in Ukraine for a start. That’s a huge crime,” Waters said, according to The Wrap. “Why won’t the United States of America encourage [Ukraine President Volodymyr] Zelensky to negotiate, obviating the need for this horrific, horrendous war?”

CNN’s Michael Smerconish tried to argue that Russia was the aggressor against Ukraine, saying, “You’re blaming the party that got invaded. You’ve got this reversed.”

Waters, however, was not having any of it.

“This war is basically about the action and reaction of NATO pushing right up to the Russian border, which they promised they wouldn’t do when [Mikhail] Gorbachev negotiated the withdrawal of the USSR from the whole of Eastern Europe,” he stated.

When Smerconish tried to say that America is seen as a “liberator” around the world, Waters shut him down again.

“You got into World War II because of Pearl Harbor,” Waters argued. “You were completely isolationists [beforehand]. Thank God the Russians had already won the bloody war by then. Twenty-three million Russians died, protecting you and me from the Nazi menace.”

Waters On China And Taiwan

Waters also took issue with Smerconish saying that China is “busy encircling Taiwan” with ongoing military drills in response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) visiting the country.

“They’re not encircling Taiwan – Taiwan is part of China!” Waters said emphatically, according to The New York Post. “And that’s been absolutely accepted by the whole of the international community since 1948 – and if you don’t know that, you’re not reading enough. Go and read about it!”

“The Chinese didn’t invade Iraq and kill a million people in 2003. In fact … who have the Chinese invaded and murdered, slaughtered?” he continued.

When Smerconish said “their own,” Waters lost it, saying, “Bollocks. That’s absolute bollocks. Complete nonsense — you should go away and read!”

“You’re believing your side’s propaganda,” Waters told Smerconish, referring to Taiwan and China.

Waters Slams Trump

Though Waters is no fan of Biden’s, he was also an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump, who he has referred to as a “tyrant” and a “mass murderer,” according to The Hill. In 2020, Waters claimed that Trump had “failed” at everything and is “murdering brown people for profit.”

“And this is a man who has failed at f—ing everything in his life except becoming the biggest … tyrant and mass murderer and mass destroyer of everything that any of us might love or cherish in the whole [world], only because he has the power,” he said of Trump at the time.

It seems Waters is one guy who is difficult to please politically! We can only imagine what politician he’ll lash out at next.
