Eddie was thus suspended from the company. When PW Insider got in touch for a comment, and Kingston offered one.

Eddie notes that he wouldn’t lie about what happened. In his comment, he states that he was wrong and unprofessional.

He also says that “he” (Sammy) did what he did, and the public can judge him. Kingston ends the statement by saying that “I know” I was “wrong”.

The altercation between Kingston and Guevara took place at Quake by the Lake tapings, which were in Minnesota. Eddie took issue with Guevara’s in-ring promo on him.

As per the report by PW Insider, the remark that Kingston specifically didn’t take well to, was his physical appearance. The confrontation was short, and the two were separated right away.

Eddie’s suspension ended before reports hit the media. He’s actually expected back by next week.

Sammy and Eddie were originally set to face off on September 4th, during AEW’s All Out pay-per-view (PPV). However, the bout is now in question and has not been promoted since the altercation.

Regardless, PW Insider is stating that the match still appears to be “a go” for the PPV. Only time will tell.

There seems to be a ton of drama in AEW, while things in the land of the WWE are smooth sailing. Especially with a major superstar confirming that he re-signed with the company.

While chatting on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, Roman Reigns talked about a number of things. He confirmed that he signed a new contract with the WWE, earlier in 2022.

The Tribal Chief also notes that he’s cut back drastically on his WWE schedule with this deal. Most fans may have noticed that Reigns rarely appears at house shows now, and not “every” episode of Friday Night SmackDown or PPVs.

How Long Is Roman Reigns’ New WWE Contract For?

Roman didn’t get into “specifics” or timelines of the new deal. However, the good news is that he is here to stay … for now.

Rumors have been buzzing that he was ready to leave the company altogether. Working fewer events will likely help with this.

Roman Reigns started with the WWE in 2010. Over the years, he’s literally “done it all” in the company.

He’s been WWE Champion six times, a U.S. Champion, IC Champion, and has held one-half of the WWE Tag Titles. Plus, he won the Royal Rumble back in 2015.

He’s certainly a guaranteed future WWE Hall of Famer. It’ll be interesting to see what the Big Dog does next.
