The biggest party of the summer is over. Therefore, it is time to look back at each WWE SummerSlam 2022 match and hand out grades.

WWE SummerSlam 2022 Report Card: Grades Are In!

United States Championship: Bobby Lashley vs Theory

Based off appearances, Bobby Lashley should have no trouble with Theory. Theory has the Money in the Bank briefcase and he has been getting dropped each week.

Typically, frequently losing or getting beat-up means a cash-in is not far off. Lashley used his power to get the better of Theory.

Seeing Lashley keep his title was no surprise as most people cared about a possible cash-in. The United States Championship match was nothing special. Grade: B-

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Liv Morgan vs Ronda Rousey

When looking at the superstars in the ring, those are two different women. Liv Morgan worked needed to work so hard to become champion and Ronda Rousey was born a natural title holder.

Unlike the previous bout, Rousey is prepared and not injured. Still, Liv has the total support of the fans.

Typically, Rousey would win via arm bar in about two minutes. The big takeaway is Rousey seemingly turned heel and probably be written off TV for a few months. Grade: B-

Pat McAfee vs Happy Corbin

Seeing how Pat McAfee has only wrestled a few times, he could be a champion. His skillset is unreal and he knows how to talk on the mic.

Happy Corbin is a great heat magnet and that only helps McAfee get over. Also, McAfee lands moves a man his size should not be capable of.

Fun match to watch because McAfee just keeps amazing fans with each passing match. I wonder if WWE will try to make McAfee a full-time wrestler because the talent is there. Grade: B

Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio vs Judgement Day (Finn Balor & Damien Priest)

For about a month, Judgement Day has tried to recruit Dominik Mysterio to join the stable. That, and some sneak attacks, is what led to the no disqualification stipulation.

Like most matches with the Mysterio family, it is entertaining. Finn Balor and Damien Priest are no slouches, so everyone worked well together.

Edge did not return on RAW, but he did at SummerSlam. Clearly, Edge and Judgement Day have months of feuding to still go. Grade: B

Logan Paul vs The Miz

Let us face facts, people do not like the Paul brothers. So, it makes no sense why Logan Paul is a babyface.

He signed a long-term contract with WWE and has undoubtedly been training hard. He certainly needs work inside the ring, but he is naturally talented.

If Logan continues to practice, he could be WWE Champion down the road. Also, I am shocked to make such a statement. Grade: B+

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jimmy Usos & Jey Uso) vs The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Several interesting things to watch heading into the match. First, there is Jeff Jarrett serving as special referee and there remains talk of Montez Ford getting a singles push.

All of their matches together have been fire, especially at Money in the Bank. Although, there was something special missing this time around. Grade: B+

RAW Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch

The feud started a year ago, where Becky Lynch returned to win the title in 27 seconds. Tonight, the feud concluded and a new angle was formed.

They have battled in singles matches and multi-person as well. Honestly, each bout was great and the SummerSlam one might have been the best.

Post-match, saw Bayley return, Dakota Kai is apparently not fired anymore and Io Shirai finally made the main roster. The odds were against Bianca Belair until a newly turned babyface in Lynch got involved to leave everyone standing. Grade: B+

Last Man Standing Match: Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have feuded since WrestleMania 31. Finally, WWE says this is the final time the two will meet.

With Lesnar walking out of WWE for a short stint and Reigns barely working, the match could go either way. Remember, nobody has defeated Reigns in two years.

As expected, just brutal with tons of major blows and even a tractor. The entire ringside area was destroyed as Reigns remains champion. Grade: B+

So, did our WWE SummerSlam 2022 grades match what the readers saw?
