Two years after stepping down as a senior royal and moving across the world to California, Prince Harry is allegedly “struggling with the pressure” that his wife Meghan Markle is putting on him.

‘Harry Is Struggling With The Pressure’

A source close to Harry told Heat Magazine that he feels torn between Meghan and his family, as his wife is pressuring him to bash the royals in his upcoming memoir.

“Harry is struggling with the pressure and keeps changing his mind on what to include in the book,” the insider alleged.

“Every passage is being revised again and again. Harry keeps remembering new things he wants to include, and then suddenly panics about toning down certain anecdotes,” the source added. “It’s been going on like this for months, and with the print date looming, he has to make a decision to officially put it on hold or pull the trigger and hope for the best.”

Release Of Harry’s Memoir Delayed

Harry’s memoir, which is being ghost-written by Pulitzer Prize winner JR Moehringer, was supposed to be released this coming fall. However, it was announced last week by Harry’s publisher Penguin Random House that the memoir’s release would be delayed until next week.

It was announced last summer that Harry was being paid $20 million to write this explosive tell-all memoir.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become,” Harry said at the time.

However, Harry’s friends say that the problem is who will be upset by the memoir when it comes out.

“Harry knows there will be a huge fallout once this memoir finally hits the shelves,” the source close to him said. “Meghan is urging him to tell his truth and not hide what really happened, but he’s worried sick it will lead to a new war with the royals – one he’ll never be able to come back from. He feels caught between a rock and a hard place, which is why he keeps stalling on edits.”

Harry Afraid Royals Will Cut Him Off

Last year, Meghan and Harry infamously bashed the royals in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. While Harry had no problem attacking his family back then, he’s changed his tune since he got a frosty reception from the royals when he returned to the United Kingdom for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee last month. He now reportedly fears being cut off by his family forever if he takes things too far in his memoir.

“He’s still shocked at the very mixed reception he and Meghan received at the Jubilee,” the insider close to him said. “The Queen and Prince Charles were cordial, but there was a portion of the monarchy whose reception was decidedly lukewarm. Harry knows these are the people who’ll be reading his book and looking for any reason to criticize.”

Harry ‘Knows He’ll Upset’ Some Royals

Luckily for Harry, his publisher is being patient with him, according to the source.

“Everyone’s being so understanding, but his editors do need Harry to sign off on the book soon,” the source alleged. “They didn’t fork out a fortune for a boring, vanilla read that doesn’t cover any tension or address the feuds with his family.”

“Ultimately, Harry’s put too much work into this book to pull it,” the insider concluded. “It’s something he’s wanted to do for a long time and there’s so much about his life he needs to clarify. He knows he’ll upset certain members of the monarchy, but it’s too important to throw in the bin.”

Harry turned on his own family and gave up everything he knew to move across the world to Meghan’s home state of California. It would not be hard to imagine him now having some regrets about how he treated his family as he potentially starts to see that life with Meghan may not be all that it was cracked up to be.
