We came in knowing we would see a mystery man, and there is no more mystery as Claudio Castagnoli is All Elite. Plus, they want in on it, but FTR is not cleared for Ric Flair’s final match.

Claudio Castagnoli Is All Elite

Bryan Danielson had fans expecting a big surprise at Forbidden Door. Fans now happy knowing that Claudio Castagnoli is All Elite.

The former WWE Superstar, then known as Cesaro, left the company at the end of 2021.

Now, he has a new home, and it would seem, a new faction as well.

His ring attire confirmed as much, as did his entrance. His graphic indicated his affiliation, and he wore a BCC ring jacket as he made his AEW debut.

Fans were extremely excited to see the Swiss Superman back in action, as you can see from these tweets.

Wrestling fans are justifiably extremely happy to see the former Cesaro back in action, and in what seems like a great spot for him.

Now, as part of the Blackpool Combat Club, alongside Moxley, Danielson and Regal? It’s hard not to be excited for what the future holds for Claudio Castagnoli.

And yes, Castagnoli was victorious in his AEW debut, defeating Sabre.

FTR Not Cleared For Flair Match

While the tag team is rumored to take part in it, FTR has not been cleared for any involvement in Ric Flair’s final match.

AEW’s big boss, Tony Khan, has not cleared them for any involvement in the match.

According to Fightful, some plans have been leaked for what is alleged to be Ric Flair’s final match.

Flair’s final match is currently scheduled for Starrcast V next month.

The report is that we would see a team consisting of Flair and FTR take on The Rock N’ Roll Express, along with a partner not yet confirmed.

Except, there’s one minor hitch.

As of this moment, Tony Khan has not given FTR the OK to work the match.

It is going to be an interesting situation to watch.

Generally speaking, AEW talent can work other non-AEW shows, with some caveats.

As fans are aware, it’s one of the appeals of working for AEW instead of WWE, giving talent more flexibility and opportunities.

Khan could resist the wishes, especially as FTR now are holding a couple different tag titles after Forbidden Door.

However, Tony Khan has a hand in approving those outside jobs, and he has not yet green-lit FTR to partner with Flair.

Now, this seems like something so high-visibility that Khan almost has to, right?
