What is it with reality TV stars not paying their taxes? USA Network stars Todd & Julie Chrisley have added their name to the dishonor role after a federal court found them guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion.

Todd & Julie Chrisley Guilty Of Tax Evasion & Bank Fraud

An Atlanta federal jury found Todd & Julie Chrisley guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud. In addition, Julie was charged with wire fraud and obstruction of justice.

Federal prosecutors alleged that Julie and Todd submitted fraudulent documents and credit statements to obtain loans. In addition, the couple allegedly used their production company to hide income from the IRS to avoid paying back taxes owed by the couple.

An attorney for the Chrisleys claims the bulk of the fraud was perpetrated by an asset manager the couple fired in 2012.

Initially indicted in 2019, the Chrisleys’ trial lasted three weeks, followed by two days of jury deliberations. A sentencing hearing not yet scheduled could see both go to jail for 30 years.

While the Chrisleys are out on bond, they must wear monitoring devices and remain detained at home.

There were allegations made about Todd Chrisley’s sexuality during the trial. He has addressed the rumors and isn’t offended by them.

CNN reported that, when asked, Todd said he was “flattered that people think [he] can get laid on both ends.” However, a lot of people online are using the case to bash Todd for these rumors. We won’t be engaging in that.

There have also been, by my count, 3 billion tweets saying “Chrisley Doesn’t Know Best.” *Eyeroll*

Some tweets noted the severity of the sentence compared to others.

But the weirdest tweets are from those who are somehow trying to tie this to Trump. When your brain can only think about politics, this is what happens.

The Chrisleys’ Reality Empire

Despite this indictment and conviction, there are no plans to cancel the family’s popular slate of shows, including a dating show hosted by Todd called Love Limo. In addition, their children Chase & Savannah are in the third season of their spin-off, Growing Up Chrisley
