Since he barely competes, fans want to know if Paul Wight is done wrestling. And, famous referee Dave Hebner is having some medical issues.

Paul Wight Done Wrestling?

Basically, Paul Wight (formally known as Big Show) has only competed for a few promotions. And, each promotion (WCW, WWE and AEW) are very well known.

Mostly, he spent majority of his career in WWE. Then, he suddenly signed with AEW as he did not like WWE’s offer.

Since joining AEW, Wight has not wrestled much. He worked one pay per view and had a few matches on Dark.

While on Submission Radio, Wight noted how he is not done wrestling. He mentioned having another hip transplant in December and not wanting to take away time from the young talent.

“Honestly, to be sincere, I came over here to work on my commentary skills because that’s where my future lies in wrestling,” said Wight. “That’s where I want to contribute to the business.”

“But I came over to compete periodically, in small doses. Like I don’t see myself running for championships, that’s not my gig.”

“I’ve done my five nights a week for decades, I’ve put in my time. Now, for me, it’s about not taking anything away from the amazing AEW talent here that deserves that TV time, that deserves that opportunity to make those connections with the audience, that deserves that ability to go out and earn those pay-per-view paydays, this is their time.”

“And for me, I’ll pick and choose here and there, and squeeze in, and we got some stuff coming down the line that’s really cool. So, that’s the smart thing you do, like I’m never gonna be a guy that’s going to come in and bully my way and, ‘I need my dressing room, I need to be fighting for the title.’”

“That’s not my MO. I want the business to do well and I want the talent around me to do well and I’ll be okay.”

For now, fans can catch Wight on Monday’s Dark, which airs for free on YouTube. It is nice to hear Wight willing and happy to let others gets the spotlight.

Far too often, wrestlers overstay their welcome and begin tarnishing their legacies.

In pro wrestling, fans sometimes forget about the most important person in the ring. Of course, we are talking about the referee.

Dave Hebner and Earl Hebner are twins referees best time for their lengthy stay in WWE. Also, they have performed for other promotions like Impact Wrestling.

Unfortunately, Dave is dealing with unknown health complications. There is a rumor he has Parkinson’s Disease, but that has not been confirmed.

NASCAR’s Hermie Sadler recently met with Dave and the Hebner family. He passed along the following picture and asked for positive vibes.

From everyone at Wrestle Newz, we wish Dave Hebner nothing but the best during this time.
